Im glad to hear that CLG practiced 1v1 aswell according to HSGG in there interview. I think its something teams dont do enough. Just take a matchup and play the first 10 lvls a dozen times can be really helpfull training.
It ignores such insignificant forces as time, entropy, and death

Chauster deserves a serious amount of respect. Has to play support for CLG but probably the most versatile player in the game. Practice partner 1v1's for hotshot and jiji, and can sub for any position on any champion and do well. Sick.

Funny thing is that in certain aspects I'd rate him better than HSGG, Jiji and Doublelift in their respective roles. He might also be a better ganking jungler than SV but that I'm not so certain about. =P

That's good to hear. Wasn't aware of how much history Loco had with CLG. Though I still think it would be funny if Loco was actually a secret agent for OGN.

There are some interesting conspiracy theories flying around (j/k). I could come up with my own theory, but for me it seems simpler to just believe the information i was given. Analyzing and theorizing without having enough information on a matter is rather pointless. Overthinking things on a message-board just makes your bloodpressure go up :-p

CLG and Loco/MiG are friends and help/helped each other out. My support to Loco/MiG and CLG. Keep it up.

Really late to this, but I just watched the CLG matches from Friday and I was struck by just how safe all of their lanes were. Mid Ahri can just 3 dash out of any pressure, Olaf can ult and run away. Cait has traps and net to remove herself from any trouble. I think CLG's plan was just to get really safe lanes, farm really hard, and come into the mid-game on par with their opponents.

yeah it really fits their playstyle, they're all just farmers. hsgg and jiji get to just sit around and rice (although i was impressed with jiji's ganks on botlane), saint can boss people around and they get a farmed late game cait. makes a lot of sense and i'm interested to see what kind of counter strategies the other teams will come up with to counter it.

i'm also very impressed with how well hotshot played his matchups, kennen and vlad seem like perfect counter picks but he handled them quite well. great play by jiji too, ahri strong.

CLG has almost always been a team that doesn't really win early game but rather wins through superior late game and team fighting ability. Even in the super early days of LoL before Doublelift or Saint were even on the team they would just lane and win late by team fighting or by picking better late game comps.

The reason CLG dominated so hard during the early days of LoL wasn't because they had better laners or more skilled players (although they certainly did have people who were all really good) it's because they were just straight up better than the other European and NA teams at team fighting. That of course has changed now but they still rely on their team fighting ability rather than picking comps to just win lane phase (as teams like M5 or TSM sometimes do).

I am more saying that they are going back to that by comparison to the comp they ran against Xenics Storm. Like, Ryze is very weak and unsafe early, Cho has a lot of sustain but is also divable early. Their support was sona in that game, who has very low health until she gets to HoG/Kindle gem. Mundo's first clear is scary, even with help. Only Ezreal is really safe during the 5-8 minutes of the game, and even then if they ever actually get to trade with you, graves just overpowers ezreal.

I think one of the big things that CLG did was take a step backwards in time, since a lot of the Korean teams decide games by the 10 minute mark. They just don't play against teams that know how to be safe and make the game drag out till they have a large advantage. CLG was playing like they would against TSM or Dignitas, teams that understand how to plan to build advantages slowly, squeezing all the objectives out of the map. They lost because they were not expecting the wild risks that the opposing team are willing to take.

That's racism man! But is he? Curious how high the chances are of fnatic getting stomped really hard.
