Shurikens you on the other hand use the wrist to give it a spin, but they still wouldn't float. Also that technique can be used for anything, you can use a credit card to deal damage if you throw it like a shuriken.

hi!
From someone who has practiced throwing things like that before: -Yes, it's stupid to throw a Kunai. Your standard shuriken / bo-shuriken is just way better for that purpose. -However, IF you throw it, you throw it like any bo-shuriken. Meaning you can either throw it in a way that it will spin or in a way that it will not spin. Both techniques are, in theory, just originating from different schools. In praxis however the difference is mostly that you get a lot more force behind it if you make it spin (but risk hitting with the wrong end if you didn't practice a certain distance for long enough) and a tad more precision if you don't make it spin. Without spin it's just incredibly hard to get some impact behind that thing and it all comes, as most thrown weapons, down to "a random thing you throw at someone to distract him for a split-second" - if it injures at the same time that's cool but not intended.
tl;dr: Please fix that unrealisticly high damage ratio on kennens shurikens. thx!
Edit: FUCK YES DUMPING OVER SHIKYO AGAIN AFTER ALL THIS TIME. (<3 bro)

Wrong. Daggers/Knives can both be thrown with or without spin. Just like you can throw a shuriken from the wrist (small impact, quick) or from the body with basicly the same movement as you'd throw a punch* (higher impact, more precision, slower). Technicly you can throw a damn egg with or without spin and it would still hit pretty damn well if the person learned to throw a shuriken originally.
*technicly a so called "Sto". Only way I can think of explaining the movement via interwebs is starting with your right hand on your left hip and making an inverted hitler salute (stop laughing). Like with the palm of your hand showing up instead of down. That's also the movement you'll most likely learn first for throwing anything bo-shuriken related straight and without spinning.

I am not generally a Kennen player but I thought this was the general rule of thumb. Always rush wota. Its stupid not to. After that dcap is generally the best choice, although if you are shitting on the enemy team and want to tower dive a zhonyas isnt a terrible choice.
I'am sorry I messed up thar, I was supposed to say 2nd item not first, yes Will of the Ancients is -the- first item for Mr. Kennen.
Looks like Evo just settled this kunai problem, huzzah.

On solomid actually, but yeah, the ones that come out this early... damn.
I honestly can't convince myself that DFG is even worth it on him over DC or WotA or RoA though.

Now are we talking side spin or top spin. I was under the impression you threw a dagger with topspin and a shyriken with sidespin. Which is it for a kunai, and what is kennen using?

Should definitely get Rylai's on Viktor. It's broken as fuck with his kit.

DFG Morde es da best. All of sudden a lot of MF players in my games, I thought I used to be the only one who plays her lol.

Why?
He likes CDR, he likes mana regen, he likes AP, and he's really bursty with his combo. It doesn't seem like that bad of an idea to me?

Well the issue that I've been having with him (and the one I called when he was announced) is his passive item taking up a slot. Items that are good on him: RoA, WotA, Rylai's, DC, Void Staff. Core tanky dps caster items. But with boots and Hexcore, now you have to choose which one to not use.
My thought, though, is getting WotA and Rylai's, forgoing RoA for upgrading his core, where you can get Mana or Health (or AP, but I think Death is currently the worst augment).

It doesn't seem like that bad of an idea to me? It's not that it's a bad item, it's just that it's not as good as the other items you can use as your core. It's not giving as much damage as DC, you can make up the mana regen with gravity or just getting RoA for more mana, and CDR can be gotten from Gravity and Blue. The active is great, but with the damage he already has, it doesn't seem like it's a core item.
|
Best build on Viktor: AA, WotA, Banshee, Frozen Heart. Augment Power.
Wish he had a 5th slot so you could get a Rylais as well, would make the build perfect. Really annoying how they ruin the character with that. I really think it's going to make him UP in the end.
|
Hrm, while AA is a nice idea, committing 2 slots to defensive items? He's tanky dps, not straight tank, you know? Yeah, getting damage from AA with the mana, but if you're going that route, shouldn't you get Gravity?
|
Im guessing the real reason vics item takes up a slot is that they couldnt figgure out a way to code it as a passive yet still work in the shop, or a way to sell it while keeping the passive bonus.
