His ult is the one thing that saves him from being awful to me. I play a lot of xerath, and I think Viktor has a few advantages. -Clearing power is much better, one E clears it all easily, xerath has to get pretty fat to do that. -Better autoattack, one of the best in the game -More consistent damage output, Xerath burst is amazing, but Viktor lazer outdamages normal Q spam in poke wars -More utility and safety in W, it can block an entire team from jumping you -ult is better in teamfights -mobility while casting (you can cast lazer while kiting) Xerath is amazing but he's more of a few target burst whereas Viktor is more of a team player, viktor severely punishes being initiated on in a way that Xerath doesn't. Obviously Xerath is better sniper and single target with better burst range, I still have no idea why pros arent all over him. Mana is fine also just get 2 Drings and no problem, same as Xerath | ||

1) Give him an extra item slot and give his passive a small nerf. It's a complete joke that his passive doesn't give him 7 item slots. 2) Make the missile speed on his Q faster and have the shield appear instantly after he hits his target. Most likely his early game numbers will need to be changed (to something like 20,25,30,35,40% shield per level) The fact that his passive is actually a hinderance at later stages of the game is idiotic as I feel having a high tier item is better than his passive. I would much rather have an hourglass or WoTA or something later on in the game over any of his passives. I would nerf his passive and make it be a 7th item slot or something. I also feel that his Q doesn't really serve the purpose it should. It should theoretically allow him to favorably trade in lane, making him a pretty big beast during the laning phase. Right now the missile speed is so slow that he will almost always take damage before he gets his shield. His kit doesn't seem too terrible, but I just don't understand what riot was going for. I don't really see what role he plays as I don't think he's tanky enough to effectively use his ult and I don't he has enough burst damage or range to be played as a squishy, high AP champ. | ||

Of course, they had to lift 3 abilities from another tank to do it, plus use a bastardized version of the best initiation in the game. We shall see if they actually learned anything or not. | ||

There are no real tanks in this game, most tanks are somewhat of a support anyways. Btw, take a solo lane on leona, farm, build tanky cdr, run into the enemy team and stun whoever. You are now tanking.(This works for anyone, just build tanky and overextend, they all jump on you and your team kills them). | ||
