leblanc easy to catch? no way. She has one of the best kits to get away from chases or to catch people, double dash that can be toogled for jukes and a root.. come on now.
Even late game LB still easily snipes the enemy teams squishies in a second or 2. What else do you actually need from an AP carry?
But she's definantly not as EASY or straight forward late game as other AoE champs like brand, karth and annie. Your positioning is far more important to even be able to use her kit properly. The aoe champs are a ton more effective just by derping your buttons in the middle of a clustered team fight. With LB you really need to choose your targets with more care and be in position to snipe and quickly get out to repeat.
She's niche in the way that she relies heavily on winning her lane and ganking more than other champs, she needs kills as shes a really bad farmer, but thats kinda what the weakness of her otherwise strong kit is - farming.

Her E and R are pretty assassin'ish, while her Q is AoE burst and her W is sustained, reliable AoE that turns into burst against single opponents. I didn't have the chance to face a good ahri yet, since I play her mostly myself and I also think she kinda needs a certain amount of time to figure out. But from like single appareances I'am very sure that a good ahri player is nothing quite laughable. Her lane-aggression is mostly safe, especially after 6, she farms like a boss, she ganks insanely well and fast, while being able to escape the weirdest situations. Her scaling and AoE are good enough in dragged out engagements and her mobility gives her that unpredictable element, which makes positioning a tad harder for your opponents. Also the ability to survive focus fire attempts is pretty insane. Such a wellrounded champion.

Really not quite enjoying myself. It seems like the more rewarding stuff I get is whenever I hop on my smurf and have somebody able to carry on our team, and I lead the team to force objectives and everybody plays together, with teamwork and buffs/dragons/etc. overcoming better comps/individual skill from our opponents. Don't get me wrong, those games feel great (last one was shurelya/aegis/wota support Nunu grabbing every drake for the team and tanking for Ahri/Orianna while Lee Sin carry us till they get farmed, when fighting Ryze/Akali/Talon/Jarvan), it's just... I know that won't last since that smurf's soon to hit 30.
Mid probably went from being my best role to my second worst, with the total absence of practice for months. support and jungle are my two favorite roles that got me so high in elo (while last season I tried soloing a lot and was much lower elo). Also playing champions you're good at and not just things that are considered OP.
I like the roles, I just don't feel like doing 5 Maokai games in a row, and it doesn't matter if the 5 are convincing wins with good scores or stuff like that from me, I like other champs and I want to play them too. Isn't a game about enjoying oneself?
You sound like you're saying "Learn to play those roles instead of OP Morgana". What if she was the first champion I bought, 3 months before she got FotM, one of my favourites, regardless of baddies claims for OPness, and I'd guenuinely enjoy her playstyle and would like to play her some?
I didn't even finish my placement matches, there's nothing to do with Elo there.

tbh, I dont get the Ahri & leblanc comparison. It was fine when we were speculating about her kit with her ulti & riot harping about her being an assassin. She's no more an assassin than annie or brand really. Most of her stuff is AOE, except her taunt. In teamfights she's still more about AOE than bursting one important target.

By the way, is there a reason there isn't a NA TL room? Just going by TL people around my elo, there are a ton of people in the 1400-1600 range and we could easily put some games together. I'm sure people in the other rating brackets would appreciate it as well.

I've been wondering, if you're afk and just random a champ, do you random your last played champ? Had the timer run out twice, both times it picked my last played champ.

There was a time where I would hard random a jungler every game. For some reason I kept getting leesin when less than 10 of my 40 champs were junglers. And I'm pretty sure I was playing jungle soraka before that. So just assume riot's random algorithm is bugged, just like everything else.

-fixed a bug with chaos storm where the opposing viktor could control your storm
-fixed a bug where gravity field's stun effect could not be cleansed
-improved death ray to be more responsive
-fixed a bug where viktor's augments displayed a cost of 1200g instead of 1000g
I haven't played him in a few days, but here's my thoughts. There are really only two noticeable things, manga regen and Death Ray. Mana regen is nice, should make his early game a bit less risky to cast during. However, it also devalues Gravity a bit more, I think Death is probably the better augment right now. When they responsiveness, I hope they mean Death Ray actually hitting the whole breadth of it's range, which it doesn't right now. I guess the attack frame thing is a buff, but I never really had a problem with that.
That said, I don't think it'll make him super desirable in one patch. He's still good, but I almost just feel that other casters (including Swain prominently) do his job better. He's not really a bursty mage outside of his Ult, and he doesn't really have sustained damage outside the fact that Q and E are somewhat short CDs. His biggest use right now is dropping W for team fights and Ulting squishy targets.
Better buffs would be increasing Q's missile speed (or making the shield instant), and/or increasing it's damage. Q is very underwhelming, overall.
