Another thing to consider is that it is much easier to get "caught up" when there is a list of topics. It is undeniable that it is more simple to look at a brief ouline of what is being discussed as opposed to trying to remember what page you left off on and then start reading.

The problem with having many threads is that most of them would have only a few posts (I really don't think TL subforum has enough traffic to keep many active threads going for an extended amount of time) as they would lose relevance quickly.

The only reason I'm even bothering to post here is because I think it could generate more traffic if it were a more engaging system. Just look at any other forums system, there is a reason why threads are allowed instead of everything funneled through one pipe.

We generate like 4k posts every patch cycle. Even if the patch isn't very significant. The post-view ratio of the General Discussion Threads averages around 43 views per post or so. (I did some math and made a post on this before.) It's one of the lowest Inertia Ratios on TL. Or, in other words, it takes less views on average in this subforum before someone cares enough to make a post. In total, all the big General Discussion LoL Threads here are greater than any other big threads on TL. Read it here. I think we're not terribly lacking in traffic haha. I also like how our subforum is kinda insular because it means you know most of the people who posts here. We're also probably one of the politest forums for LoL because you know who you're talking to. That's not to say we don't argue, but it's pretty nice here.

Completely sums up my thoughts^ I hardly ever post because I know i'm not very good, but I love reading all the threads and I think the best thing about this sub-forum is how easily recognizable many of the frequent posters are. It adds a very nice personal feel to the community.

Maybe this has been answered, then I'm sorry in advance for this post.

Can anybody tell me what the ranked team maintenance is for?

Could it be that they will finally make it so the highest rating from your several teams will be shown in your summoner's profile?

In other news, LiquidParty has been an elitist bunch as long as I can remember. I started following LoL a year ago, started lurking here around the same time, started playing the game months later. As of now, I know all the regular participants on this forum and have developed a personal kind of relation to the way they post, what they post, etc. If I want to know something about supports, I go ask spine. If I need help concerning Mantheon, the Jarman or theorycrafting, I go ask SmashGizbro. If it's just theorycrafting I'm looking for, I'm sure TheYango will help. Hell, if I want to hear someone crying and bragging about Kerp being his friend all day, hi there Shikyo. USnip and Requizen always give great advice. MoonBear es #1 source for BlitzBro information, technical issues and generally an all around helpful person. Neo does a great job moderating this whole thing.

What I'm trying to put across: LiquidParty has become sort of an eHome for me and I'm sure lots of posters here feel the same way. I never felt like this subforum craved for more traffic. I don't want to be part of another forum where there's a buttload of jerks and idiots and nobody knows each other. That might be egoistic, but I'm rather sure that's the consensus of how people feel about LP.

Tbh maybe there is a better system, I don't really know, but I kind of like how the general discussion thread goes atm - fun informal discussion always going on, you can jump in whenever you want.

Though I'd say we do need to have informative threads (with a good & frequently updated OP) like all the champion threads, general roles, other stuff like warding, cost-efficiency of items, masteries etc etc and they should all be linked In the guides and builds sticky.
Because although GD is nice for just randomly discussing stuff (I usually always have the last page open on my cellphone :3), its not really conducive in a situation where you want to read up info on a certain general topic. So we should make new threads for such topics whenever they come up (new masteries come to mind) & there is enough legitimate info about it to post an informative OP.

Dat double jump by Chaox in the scrim. Doesn't Trist's jump reset when she gets a kill? Her target must have died mid-jump, as soon as she lands, another jump on near new target.

Kills and assists. And its even more fun when you get to jump x 5 on a pentakill. Between the range on her jump and her shooting range, if you fight well the other team really can't get away

In Hungry Hungry Hippos there are no such constraints—one can constantly attempt to collect marbles with one’s hippo, limited only by one’s hippo-levering capabilities.

The most fun when talking of refreshing cooldowns is when you're playing a nicely farmed yi on clean-up duty. Teamfights, all cc blown, come running in from a brush after 10seconds, mash R and let the fun begin.

Exactly this. <3 TL LoL subforum. It's nice knowing most of the posters and all the personalities in here

Riot said it was to give the teams a break for christmas. In reality they're clearing their offices of all the money they've earned and can't resume work until it's finished.
