And you can't just figure it out on the go because once you get behind, you're behind. The only thing it proves is not that the rating system is a joke, it's that there is a lot more to rating other than mechanics, and high elo players don't have the best knowledge. Part of the reason they nerfed the jungle was to try lower its influence on lanes since it can really negate lanes winning convincingly. For example in solo queue when you solo top if you completely destroy the guy early you end up getting ganked over and over making it so you can't really do much in your lane and have to rely on your team to pull something off elsewhere. If there was no jungle then you really would have people coming out of laning as real monsters compared to their opponents Solo queue rating is just an indicator of player skill, it doesn't mean they are going to be 1800 level at every aspect of the game and it's entirely possible to get there without playing certain roles or many different heroes. Most people will tell you there's tons of morons that have no idea what they are doing at 1800+ even though you'd expect that people would have mastered the vast majority of things. Also if you're 1800 going vs a 1100, you probably aren't bothered to cheese them with runes and other plays.

They nerfed the jungle for the sake of making it weaker.

I had never encoutered the matchup before and i would have got crushed pretty hard if he wasn't terrible and didn't farm at all. He just spammed his Q on me, so I shot him back with parley, it was kinda even until I started to run out of mana and potions then he could just endlessly zone me. Still ended winning because he was really terrible and didnt farm at all and I managed to kill him after coming back from base, but if did anything better or their jungle would have ganked I'm pretty sure I would have gotten crushed. really hard. I started cloth+5 because I had no real idea of what to expect, he had rejuv pendant + 1 pot. I had to use pretty much all my potions before he even had to use his.

You could go cheezey and build MR and level oranges. Also if you're faster than him his q range is only 475.

Before magic resist of course. But if you don't expect it suddenly it's been only 10 seconds and you're at half health.

I mostly play either tanky characters or characters that do stuff from a long range (Gragas), but when I play a character like Ashe, I am always out of position in teamfights and get killed very quickly.

click me. So, eh, do junglers run ArP for mid-late game team fights? For early ganks, the damage difference is practically inexistant and the increased clear speed would be appreciated a lot for everyone. I'm currently trying to add J4 to my roster of junglers and I've been running Smash's rune page (7 ArP 2 AS red, 9 Armor Yellow, 9 MR/lvl Blue, 1 AS 2 AD Quint) and it really got me thinking if I should consider swapping the ArP reds for AD reds, just because I like clearing stuff fast.

Keep playing squishies until you stop dying.

The damage difference might as well be non existent. Pick which ever one makes you jungle faster (aka safer, and gives you more gold). I use janky ass masteries for jungling because they keep me alive the longest.

Trundle doesn't need to kill anybody to do his job in the midgame, he can scare away/isolate the AD carry while reducing his damage output. Also, he's a great aegis carrier if your support's aiming at something else (or you want double aegis for even more tanky goodness).

He, like many others, groups ArPen marks and ArPen quints together against AD marks and AD quints, ignoring the very significant cost-effectiveness gap between AD marks and AD quints. The only junglers that I'd run a full ArPen for though are junglers that have high-base damage physical damage abilities (e.g. Olaf), or junglers that have innate AD steroids (e.g. Nocturne, Trundle), which puts them at 100+ AD well before ganking time.

After that you can learn when its good to go in more and hit a more valuable target.

By the way it tried playing jungle twitch and it went allright and I managed to carry half decently even though I think that he doesn't quite get the farm he requires, I think he would probably be better off on the bottomlane babysat by someone like soraka, as his lategame is still insanely strong if he gets decent amounts of farm in the early game. He also has reasonably safe farming as he can stealth to escape though extra care is required to make sure that the enemies don't have a pink ward alongside or worse, oracles elixir.

He still has stronger ganks than anyone except Skarner and maybe Lee Sin.
