If your [Stream] thread was moved to the general TL Stream subforum (aka SC stream land), find your thread and PM it to me and I'll move it back to LoL territory. I can argue with staff that moving a non-SC thread into a SC subforum is just asking for that thread to get buried.

- Neo, Dec. 15 2011, 6:33 KST

I have admin approval. I'll be moving LoL streams back to the subforum. Stream name will be based on Summoner name.

saint's ban is warranted. Pros are put on a pedestal, so let's no encourage their behavior if it's negative. It's 3-4 days ban on his main account. CLG has smurfs, so no skin off saint's back tbh.

How can you be mad that he got banned for trolling someone because they didn't let him jungle, while simultaneously condemning everyone else who does just that?

It's the difference between being fair and being just. You obviously can't ban all the people trolling. So when a high-profile player trolls on stream, do you do the just thing and ban him for doing wrong, or do you do the fair thing and let him be handled through the same process as the other trolls (and get punished at the same totally unreliable rate)?
The just thing. He is a posterboy for your product, he gains his living of your product. You show them that you can bring them down in seconds if they step out of line. That is how you run a buisness.

So in essence, he gets punished because among all the streamers that are currently online, he got unlucky that a Rioter was watching his stream and felt strongly enough to go and ban him.

I don't disagree with the spirit of holding high-profile streamers to higher standards, but I do disagree with being wishy-washy about it. If they really are going to make a big deal about holding streamers to higher standards, then they should formalize said standards and enforce them, rather than just using the idea of it to ban high Elo streamers seemingly on a whim.

It's pretty rare that such a high profile streamer trolls that hard, but yea obviously there is going ot be some element of luck. You know that Riot is going to hold you to higher standard and will do controls from time to time. This was also something that was widely announced. For example if Oddone calls someone a retard there isn't going to be a thread about it.
If you do something stupid that gives you alot of attention, expect a ban. Otherwise yea you MIGHT get away with your everyday trash, but there could always be a rioter watching. That is what you want to convey.

I just don't think trying to scare people by being vague and arbitrary about when you're watching and what you can be banned for is the right way to go about it. IMO it's much better to lay down a strict set of rules when you want to be stricter with high-profile streamers.

They have done that. This is not the first time a streamer has been banned because of actions on their stream, so not only is there precedence, but there is also the quote someone mentioned earlier, by Riot themselves, that they will hold streamers accountable for what goes on in game on their streams.

I see nothing wrong with this situation and the way it was handled, and I'm about as anti-Riot as it gets so that's gotta be worth something.

This type of enforcement happens in practical real life situations all the time, it's a huge part of a deterrent based system of law/punishment.

Except i highly doubt this is the case all the time. High Elo players troll and do banworthy shit all the time. I'm betting there were a lot of times Rioters happened to be watching but were just too lazy to log in and press the button.

This generated enough attention for them to make them HAVE to act. They couldn't have let this slip without looking like they will allow pros to do anything they want. He was so blatantly no grey line about it trolling, spawning threads and memes.

Maybe, probably. Riot just needs more transparency/consistency. Something like this would take manpower to maintain. It would be beneficial, it's just not a priority.

SV was a complete asshat that game. Does a single game as a complete asshat warrant a 3? day ban?
Like saint can be a dick through what he says on stream, but there is not a single game I've ever seen him play where he wasn't legitimately trying to win before that game. He might pick something like jungle nidalee or jungle kayle, but he ACTUALLY DOES SHIT. It's not like some retarded troll who randoms, dies to jungle creeps, and goes "HERP DERP SORRY, I'M BAD" then proceeds to feed double buff to enemy's AD carry for free just to troll saying "sorry, i don't know how to jungle x champ, huehuehue."
It's him trying to win but having fun and trying to be entertaining while doing it. There is a hugeeee difference between those 2 things. Most of solo q are the trolls and SHOULD be banned. Saint is a lot different from those guys. He had literally 1 game doing what millions of player do daily in solo q, and gets punished for it. =/
If you're going to enforce your rules, then do it to the worse cases first.....get rid of the morons who troll constantly trying to lose, curses in all chat, yells racial slurs in all chat, intentionally feeds, etc. -_-

I was just about to type a response about 'getting caught speeding' but the cop just letting it roll for whatever reason(apathy, you weren't 'speeding enough,' laziness, w/e), thanks for covering that for me.

Welcome to the world of DotA, where a support that has an ally-castable Tryndamere ult as a regular skill on a 15 second cooldown is a weak pick.

I disagree, the people watching saint's stream are currently not playing the game. They're not gonna then go into a game and mimic what he did right away. However, if someone trolls you in your game, that frustration is more likely to cause you to troll next game than if you saw it on saint's stream.

The probably won't do it right away, but any pattern of seeing high profile people trolling unpunished just encourages others to troll at some point.

If it's your job you have no right to complain if you get a legit ban even if it is for a minor infraction. People keep crying out for professionalism, but want their pros pampered. Want to make a better scene? Play hardball. Pros think they are better than you? Ban them. Pros think they can act however they want? Ban them. Riot needs to take less shit, aswell as ofc learning how to run a simple tournament (-.-, why riot why can't you do this simple thing). My dream is when every single E-sport team have a manager that doesn't play, only then can we see som actual improvement.

Pro = tourney player != solo queue.
Playing solo queue is NOT his job. Streaming himself playing lol and winning tourneys is. Riot has no word to say on this and has no reason te by harsher on pros.

I'm pretty sure they don't care whether you're pro or not, but rather whether you're a notable figure (aka lots of viewers).

I think she is hard to place in a teamcomp. She loses to a lot of top lanes and mid lanes, takes forever to jungle, and can get zoned without the right support when bot.

Still a really strong champ, but you have to be careful because if you get a bad lane match up you can be in big trouble.
