So I got into ranked again recently. I went 6-2 in my first 8 games and my profile was marked as unranked. Then I lost 2 in a row and was given a ranking of 1309, but it said my highest rank was 1422. How does the initial placement thing work? Did it jump up to 1422 when I was 6-2 and then drop more than 100 points for the two losses? Does it let you play 10 games first before giving you a ranking?
The first ten are essentially your placement matches, though it still assigns you an elo during the matches. Highest is the elo you've ever had that season, including the time during your placements. These early games are worth a lot of elo, so you could potentially jump around a lot before settling.
What the hell, why doesn't Cleanse remove the healing debuff from Ignite? What the hell is the point if it doesn't do that, nobody cares about 400 true damage, but I sure as hell do care about 2000 true damage (which is essentially what it does to Mundo).
I'm trying to play him and I would do fine if one summoner spell didn't completely counter me. It's like a 5 second exhaust. Retarded. Does QSS remove it?

Read the lol wiki on QSS
I don't trust the LoL wiki for specific things like this.
Case in point, the wiki says that Cleanse removes the "effects of Ignite".

Yes, the new patch is supposed to let cleanse remove ignite. I think it was last week actually that they released the patch. QSS removes everything cleanse does and more. It doesn't provide the 3 second 65% CC reduction though.
The wiki is right. It's even got patch history notes.

lol what is this I don't even.
that's actually not so bad except for the TP/Exhaust and Atma's Impaler (and if you're wala.revolution, the latter isn't a problem either)
His skill order sucks, unless you're teamfighting level 1, don't you get e first?
yes, but to be fair, cho tends to get into teamfights lv 1 more often than most other champions. Aside from that, his skill order is perfectly acceptable (because pretty much any skill order that doesn't max rupture first is perfectly acceptable). That already makes it better than most of his other champion spotlights IMO
edit: you can also get w first; it's good harass in lane

Yeah, at least he isn't building rylais on bear instead of mallet. Wait... does bear's ult slow everything it hits?... 0_0... nvm.

no, but ironically the rylai's slow does work on everything his ult hits
I could be wrong, but I think Sivir is really strong right now. That passive is amazing, and now that her Q deals Phys Dmg, she can just shred people in lane with even the tiniest amount of ArPen. Sivir/Soraka is such a good lane comp, and if you have another AD (bruiser or otherwise) her ult is quite good.
I play Cho'Gath pretty much just like Phreak does, except I more commonly go full tank with him. How come you take e at lvl 1? I'm curious. Sometimes if I'm feeling decent on top solo, I just skip e entirely until I need to take it.

E improves your last hitting massively, does residual damage to enemies who step in front of you, increases your pushing speed, and increases your fighting damage. Maxing it is better than maxing Q in most scenarios, and I always get at least one level of e in the first 3 levels.
