I just played a few games with Tristana running Surge/Ignite. She became an AP Carry early game and bursted down the other team's carry from 100 to like 10% health in one combo. Add in some auto attack and the damage from your support and and you've got a guaranteed kill. The jump also resets so securing the kill also secures an escape. So damn powerful.
I'm sure this would be awesome on Teemo and Ezreal as well.

So I was doing some thinking today (I know, I know, I REALLY gotta stop doing that) and my mind wandered to the "everyone gets 12 armor pen from runes in order to jungle" phenomena. With the new masteries I noticed something that was also the case with old masteries- you get 6 free armor pen. So that puts everyone, going into the jungle, at 18 armor pen.
And I thought to myself: "Self, I thought the reason everyone got 12 armor pen was to be able to reduce minigols to 0 armor." And myself was like "No T_D, that IS the reason everyone says they do it." Then I was like "But self, dont minigols only have 12 armor? And wraiths have 30, buffs have 24, and everything else has 9 or 6" And myself was all "No thats right." So then I was all "DAYUM. That means I'm blowing rune slots on 6 armor pen for no reason." And myself was all "Ya dont you feel stupid now you fucking idiot."

And myself was all "Ya dont you feel stupid now you fucking idiot." yes but the armor pen helps you for ganking to and getting through the usually low base armor a good amount of champs have at the lower levels. though i guess it could depend on the jungler youre using too...... You could try running something else if you wanted and im actually kinda interested what the results would be with a mixed red page in the jungle would do

I run cleanse/ignite due to exhaust ruining your above outlined plan and pretty much everyone is still taking exhaust. ignite/cleanse the way to go atm. or exhaust/cleanse

Well Ryuu314, I am generally a lurker but I will try to post more so you can recognize me.
On Fizz and seeing him as solo top. He is extremely powerful early game. You need to be very crafty to not get demolished by him. Here are a few tips I have when facing him. My experience is limited so far (4 games Fizz vs Riven) but I have noticed a few things.
-Highly recommend Cloth+5pots and M-resist runes/masteries and the 3Hp/5 defensive mastery (if you can swing it). You are 100% going to take some harass. The big thing is outlasting his mana.
-He does an amazing amount of damage at level 1. Even with high creep advantages he can still rock your face in a trade. He is fragile though. Try to prevent him pushing at early levels. I found the most effective defense is to abuse the tall grass. Otherwise, it is a quick dash, W-auto, Trickster away without really any way to retaliate.
-Once you have a little harass power, be aggressive to get him to use trickster. You need to burn his mana and as counter-intuitive as it sounds, making him spend mana by being aggressive as soon as his playful/trickster CD is up does wonders. You will almost always trade health unfavorably. But if you are running Mres and lots of potions, it will be in your favor. As soon as he gets low on mana, he cannot harass you very well.
-You cannot rely on ganks too much on this guy, he has too many escape mechanisms.
Riven specific: -She lanes quite well against him. Starting at level 2, you can be a real bitch. Here is what I do. When within 1 Q+W distance, I Q->W then Q away. It is very little damage but it is virtually free damage. You save your 3rd Q if he tries to dash to you. If he dashes to you, Q->Auto, run (preferably juking in/out of brush). Once you get E, save it for if he dashes to you, after your little combo. You can get 1 extra 'free' AA on him by 3rd Q->auto-E->auto instead of just running.
-At level 6 the game changes. You should try to push him out of lane the moment you hit 6. You can do it, just hit R, get your 2nd Q to close the distance (out of bush if you can swing it) then combo the shit out of him. You should be able to get 3 AA's inbetween 3rd Q, E, and W. Save your execute for if he jukes a stun (it can happen if your Q->auto->W isnt fast enough, I have only seen them playful/trickster away after the stun wore off, they will still be in range of R so just anticipate it if you can).
So far haven't had too much trouble with him. He does quite a bit of damage though so just be careful. And don't be low health. It hurts.

exhaust<cleanse<surge<exhaust funny mind games u can play in bot as ad l0l if im ez or trist most of the time ill forgo flash and take 2 of exhaust/cleanse/ignite/surge really strong in lane~ and woong doing really well in jungle with heal/smite lulz

Exhaust doesn't stop the knockback though. I've jumped on the other carry and got exhausted but just ulted them away. You still dealt some burst damage (albeit less than without exhaust on) in exchange for almost none. Your ult has a 60 sec cd while exhaust is over 3 minutes.

The Trist Combo: Activate Surge, Rocket Jump, Explosive Shot, Ignite, Buster Shot.
If they don't use exhaust before then they just took a bunch of burst to the face and has no chance to counterattack due to knockback.
Trist's AP Ratio is .8 wit rocket jump, .25 for explosive shot and a whooping 1.5 for buster shot. It's nothing to scoff at. She has both burst damage and DPS in the early game. It's nothing to scoff at.
If he does use exhaust then well...good for him. He used exhaust it defensively and stayed alive for the moment. Meanwhile, Tristana free-farms until he heals up or go back to base.

Because you're cleansing yourself of the enemy exhaust so that your damage output isn't crippled. If you can hit the rocket jump before they exhaust you this is largely irrelevant, although it might be hard to finish off the kill unless your spells 100->0 them since your damage output would drop to 30% after they exhaust you. If you cleanse this off you do full auto attack damage instead of having +40% attack speed (assuming Cleanse over Surge). This is clearly a superior option if they exhaust you in my opinion, especially if you're exhausted in midair (or before you ult) and cleanse it so your spells do full damage. If you both trade exhausts instead of cleansing yours you're relying on your supports to finish the fight (meaning you likely won't get the kill gold).

Does anyone know why Salce gets chalice and cdr boots on Orianna as opposed to the more standard ap caster setups? (3 dring + sorc or rod + sorc)

But the knockback still works even if the damage is reduced, so you can just go for a reset if you're exhausted. It's never a bad thing to make your opponent burn his exhaust just to save himself.

Well if your a carry then yea you want to be as fed as possible. I mean if your a tank/support and end up with the lions share of kills then it can become a problem as your carry who does the damage becomes less effective because they lack items because they couldnt finish. If soraka is getting a bunch of kills bot over your carry then the advantage reached because of those kills is reduced, allowing the other team to crawl back into the game.
