The problem is there is no professional behind CDE. CDE is a group of friends who got together to play WCG USA.

And then there was that slight pause from Slasher to make things more awkward.

It frustrates me that CDE are correct, but they just aren't communicating their points well to others. The shows format pisses me off too; why would they bring on two opposing parties just to listen to them say "no your wrong" with nothing supporting either argument.

Really could have used SV or Dyrus here instead. Dyrus is more sympathetic and SV has appeal, and both articulate better.

I really wasn't involved in watching LoL until recently but I started watching most tournaments since MLG and IEM gamescon and was watching both BO3s on stream and just from what I've seen and read about this situation I won't be rooting for USA. (Probably rooting for Canada since I watch the streams of lots of players on that team)

This WGC can be resumed by this: - Hi we are dignitas and we are gonna win this. Oh shit we lost, let's change the rules. - Hi we are CDE, we already won against dignitas and we'll screw them again. Oh shit we lost, let's get the rules back.

Odee asked him what he would do in that situation. Regi responds : can't answer because that's a hypothetical Odee presses: I bet you would play. you wouldn't give your spot up. Regi : I never would have acted in a way that would have led to this situation. exactly right way to do that. but yeah Regi should have spent the whole time talking about WCG changing the rules after the fact. just hammer that over and over again and ignore Odee. that's what I would have done.

I have limited sympathy for Regi because he chose to cater to the system and lost, and is NOW whining about it (well Regi is). They should have practiced a lot harder for the final set but they didn't. They should have pressed a lot harder on the rule changing issue but they didn't. They could have documented the situation a lot better, made a good clear case for themselves, but they didn't. That said, WCG shouldn't get get away with blatant rule tampering. Someone has to fry for this.

Odee's questioning there was so sleazy. Trying to get out of Dignitas's wrongdoing by posing a hypothetical to someone else. God that guy made me lose what little respect I had for Dignitas. They could either play or forfeit. Not much of a choice there.

Well what are they supposed to do? They complained before the rematch too. If they don't play the rematch then WCG just says "oh they forfeited".

Actualy the uproar already started when the decision was made to play the extra set. It has just reached critical when it actualy changed the outcome. Add to that the fact there was imo a very real threat of DQ coming from WCG if CDE really protested heavily against the extra game. The fact that WCG Canada didnt actualy play a 3 bo3 final either was brought up on state of the league by a player from one of the canadian teams the very next day.

I doubt there's any legal recourse that CDE could take against WCG, even if it would be deserved.

Obviously Regi doesn't know how to debate as well as some people on team liquid. In High School and start of college I won multiple awards for debate competitions and I know a lot of things I would have said differently but I doubt Regi ever took classes on debate or knew how to prepare for the topics he should have known were coming (would you have done the same? and the personal attacks issue). I think he did pretty well considering he was going up against a veteran such as Odee. I doubt there's any legal recourse that CDE could take against WCG, even if it would be deserved. Are you kidding me? Would you imagine if lets say in a MLG you had a player like Incontrol who is outspoken against the extended series rule being up 2-0 against a player like Bomber who is a lot better than he is (don't ask how he managed to get there) Do you think he would have forfeited the first 2 games to make it an even series just because he doesn't like the ruling? I personally believe that a player would take whatever advantage they can get against a player/team that they feel can give a challenge to them.
