In multi-queues it tends to be a lot harder to "shed your expectations of other people" and just focus on getting individually better, but in solo q you can drown out everyone else and focus purely on getting better yourself. The moment you stop feeling the drive to do that, or you find your priorities shifting, I think you need to stop though. Going to solo q intending solely to win is a poisonous attitude, both for yourself and for your team, because you start subconsciously cutting corners to try to eek out silly advantages and end up just playing subpar. Could you elaborate and/or provide an example on the bolded part? I'm misunderstanding what you mean, because anything that gives you an advantage, no matter how "silly" it is, does not seem subpar to me. You try to get said advantages but you don't get them so you end up behind. no... that's not what he meant he meant that in solo queue you do stuff like take the carry's farm or KS early kills as the jungler because the carry is doing poorly. in a competitive game you'd need to give the farm to the carry anyways and catch them up to speed, not bury them further by taking their farm. but in solo queue you can get away with it because you can punish 5 bads on the other team by playing desperately rather than intelligently | V yeah and what bp said too

I've honestly known people who don't want to spend the few hundred gold on a wards cause it will "put them behind on their build" I'm just like ......... e.e That's just a random example though.

Could you elaborate and/or provide an example on the bolded part? I'm misunderstanding what you mean, because anything that gives you an advantage, no matter how "silly" it is, does not seem subpar to me. For example you stick around to farm even though 99% of your brain is screaming warning sirens because you know a gank is incoming, but you feel pressured to carry and don't back off. You do this because you're "in a rush" to complete your build and disregard the more level-headed judgment - that losing 30 seconds of farm isn't the end of the world. Or you fail a gank and end up a level behind the other jungler. Instead of accepting that you're behind and now need to slowly build back up, you try to cut corners to catch up, not trusting that your teammates can carry. You gank again, and if you fail, you shrug your shoulders and post in TL subforum that your teammates sucked. Or you try counterjungling despite being behind, and if you die, you shrug your shoulders and post in TL subforum that your teammates sucked. You have a 1v3 with the need to defend tower, and you're able to clear creep but the other team has two supports protecting their carry, so they're free-farming 3v1. Instead of trusting that your team is "making stuff happen" with their newfound 4v2 you get agitated and attempt to eek out creep stats (taking significant damage in the process), and/or just lunge at them 1v3 in an effort to make a miracle happen. And then you die, blame your teammates for not helping, and post in TL subforum that your teammates sucked. etc. etc. In all these cases people are so hung-up with distrust and their rush to "carry the game for their teammates" that they blow off obvious plays and do stupid plays. You'll see this happen to OTHER people in your games a lot too, because everyone starts thinking the same way.

Can't wait to play gragas with it. How so? My spreadsheet says that the item (ignoring the vision stuff) is costed about normally, and as far as I can see the stats in-game match what I have entered. It's about as efficient relative to other items as Needlessly Large Rod is.

I complied 3 statistics: View, Posts and Views per Posts. Let's call the third statistic the Intertia Ratio, or IR. The IR is interesting because it shows how "bothered" people are to post in a thread, or how much they care about the thread. The lower the number, the more likely people are to be bothered to post in the thread and contribute. You can also think of it as a measure of the thread's productivity. This was all correct as of 0715 KST 23rd September 2011. I've only included LoL General Discussion Threads since the subforum was created. ![]() Some interesting observations:
i really like my kmd As do I. well i post in it more! I've got you both beat. On September 23 2011 09:48 BlackMagister wrote: In games when you don't have a jungler (which is common pre-30) wouldn't it be best to have 1 top, 2 middle and 2 bottom to have better dragon control. For some reason it's always been natural for two to go top instead of middle probably because of how long the path is for top. I guess at lower levels players don't always take advantage of dragon being open for the taking anyways. It's much easier to zone and poke someone from top than middle. Dragon control isn't really a concept that lower levels understand, anyway.
