Jiji will be out of range to play with s1 gold by tonight. The rest of plat by the weekend. Whereas average players will bounce around 500 and stay generally in the 1200-1400 point area, which is where they would have been anyway.

Your playing with the same people you would have played with otherwise (assuming, of course, that everyone you play with is active) even if they didnt have acceleration. Streaking good is complete luck considering the range of players currently playing at X elo. I'd rather just wait until most people have their ELO settle and I can destroy 1300 players in lane and carry the game.

However, there aren't THAT many plat players total (<1%? i forget) and honestly it shouldn't skew it by that much. I'd still say a 2k player post-reset should be winning like 70-75% at least.

This is just unacceptable from Riot EUW. 20 Hours of maintenance and problems. Really feel like EUW is treated like shit. --- That aside, I think champs with good sustain or bruisers in general are gonna be very strong on Dominion. Garen, Jax, Mundo, Olaf, Singed gonna be OP EUW and EU has been treated terribly since forever sadly.

And so on and so forth. It will suck for a week, but acceleration makes the process EASIER and FASTER simply because the law of averages dictate that on average, bad players will drop and good players will rise. Jiji will be out of range to play with s1 gold by tonight. The rest of plat by the weekend. Whereas average players will bounce around 500 and stay generally in the 1200-1400 point area, which is where they would have been anyway. The assumption doesn't hold true. Even jiji, who has been duoing almost exclusively, is still dropping games because of retarded teams. The problem is its a crapshoot on getting 5 s1 plat players vs 5 s1 bronze players on your team. Better plays will eventually pull ahead, but streaking wins and losses is very likely given the randomness in skill level of what's on your team. Accelerated Elo just means if you streak in the wrong direction it's that much harder to get back where you should be. It is, and has always been, used for new players because you have nothing to base their skill on, whereas the majority of other players are already ranked appropriately. Accelerating Elo in the manner they did goes against the way the actual Elo system works.

Both seem kinda weird. The announcer should really prioritize "PENTAKILL" over any other announcements. It's kinda weird how if you don't space out your kills just right, you don't get the penta.
