Edit:
Amusingly, I think Ashe and MF are simply better in solo lanes (similar to Corki), but due to DH brainwashing people it's harder to secure that solo lane as an AD these days.

I hate having Vayne because I think she's probably the most irritatingly useless AD carry in teamfights, as an example. yeah. I think vayne fills kind of a similar role to yi. If the enemy team knows where she is at the start of the TF she's gonna get sat on and die in like half a second. But she's the best of all the AD carries at cleanup duty- you have a bunch of tanks and tanky DPS who run in and blow AOE's and make a mess to soak up ults and long CD nukes, then vayne dives in from the bushes about 8-10 seconds into the fight when they've got a kill and are feeling cocky, when they're all a bit roughed up. she can combo one guy down in a second or two, tumble stealth to confuse them and reposition and then really start the teamfight with what's left. If they try and back up, she'll eat them alive, she's got the best cleanup of I think any of the AD carries. I've seen a few situations like this happen where a vayne arrives late to a 4v5 and proceeds to get a triple or quadrakill easily. as for AD roles in general, I think they fit into three roles -CC carry: ashe, obviously, and kog'maw to an extent. pretty obvious, initiates with CC. Ashe more so than kog, but kog's slow plays far more of a role in his place in a fight than trist or cait's. CC carries want to initiate the fight, not be initiated on. -hunter carry: ez, vayne, trist: lots of mobility or positioning abilities, usually better if they flank or come into a fight unexpectedly, best carries for ganking and hunting down runners after teamfights. kind of weak if the other team knows where they are. -Nuker carry: Cait, Twitch, ?teemo?. Best if they sit behind the team and wait for the fun to start. They each have a strong tool for countering divers (net, blind, debilitate) that makes their position being known and being initiated on less of an issue. They also have very strong 'sit still and blow the fuck out of someone' properties compared to the others due to their ability setup. Teemo isn't a true AD carry, but he can be built to fill the same role, eg sit at the back and AA the shit out of somebody. Within those divisions, there are again specialties. each has a carry that doesn't rely wholy on straight PD for their sustained dps even if you build them as an AD carry (kog, ez, teemo) against armor heavy comps, each has a carry that *is* straight PD- (vayne, cait and ashe) for mauling squishies. It's all subtle, and it kind of relies on picking your carry last once you know the whole enemy team, but there are certainly very distinct styles and specialities amongst the AD carry family.

If you can get an early blue it shouldn't be a problem to just burn down every wave. If you can't get blue then I think you have to let her push and make a gank work or have your jungler dedicate time to help out the lane since she is just such a strong laner especially against a medium range champion like Karma. Also denying Anivia her first blue is extremely helpful and you should try to take note of the timing of when the second blue spawns which she usually gets so you can contest it with your jungler and mid if you can.

Tumble and Condemn aren't really a kiting kit, but more of a "gtfood*" kit. She can't really "shoot n scoot" like most of the other AD ranged. *get the fuck out of dodge

So i figured maxing Q and using shield just to get close and using auto for additional damage. I mean what you want to do else? Why would you max Q over E? Why would you mantra Q over mantra E? Mantra E so good for trades, if you mantra Q you're healing yourself for ~150 at max level but you're losing out on 280 shield damage. The AoE has roughly the same range as Caitlyn's auto attack self-cast so it's pretty easy to hit with it. That's not even counting casting E on your own creeps which extends the range far beyond Q. If your opponent is attempting to last hit chances are you can mantra E on that creep and punish them for it even if they're a ranged champ. Pre-6 if Anivia misses flash frost she's screwed in a trade. If you let her hit you with it you need to mantra E->Q her before the stun to come out even. I'd take movespeed quints or boots first if I had to to pull it off. It's ok if you push because it's nearly impossible for Ani to farm at turret especially with threat of mantra E. After 6 I see things being more tricky but in order for Anvia to match your trade potential you have to either be stunned by flash frost or be forced to sit in ulti for six seconds, so I can't imagine how you could lose vs an Anivia without blue. Even if you couldn't trade anymore you can still push vs Ani without blue since it costs Ani waaay more to clear a wave than it costs you becauseult is such a mana hog and you're more sustainable and efficient both from your kit and your D-ring stack. If Ani does have blue though then I think you also need blue. With blue you can easily counterpush if she tries to push and she can't zone you because if she sits in creeps your mantra E->creep range is too great.

Kill entire creep wave with RE Q Shield keeps you alive if she tries to RE you in this time. Then anivia is too busying killing creeps to do anything and you can do whatever. Repeat ad infiniatum until you both have 5000 creeps and roam every 30 seconds because you can both do the same shit.
