So in my team I got a cleanse tryndamere solo top, Jax jungle, bottom lane is morgana/ashe and morgana didn't pick cv because "i said im not support" although he's last pick, I'm mid as Akali. <_< I tend to get this kinda games alot ! | ||

DotA is still getting balance patches now. And every big patch, Icefrog releases ~2 new champs and sometimes 1~2 new items. DotA is just as dynamic and ever-changing as LoL is. The nature of mobas, with so many different variables (heroes, items, etc...) there can never be a fully balanced state the way SC:BW is like. The only difference in terms of change in DotA and LoL is that DotA patches are much fewer and widely spaced out, with (a rough guess) about 3-4 weeks between every patch, and it usually takes 4-5 patches before any truly new content (ie heroes, items) are released. Whereas LoL patches on average every 2 weeks with a new champ at roughly the same rate. That being said, DotA has been around since 2003, so it has had a LOT longer time to reach a more balanced state. It also currently actually has more heroes (a little over 100) than LoL (around 80) I want to see DotA2 succeed, not only because I've been a fan of DotA for a long time and it'd be cool to play an updated version of DotA, but also because it would force Riot to hurry the fuck up with shit like replays or risk losing out to DotA2 -.- | ||

Also wtf is with all the dota 2 talk. Honestly if it does bad at gamescom nobody will care because it's not finished and if it does well it's just dota, it's famous no matter what. The only thing that could make riot work for their money is if it's so good and so accessible that it starts stealing their audience. Or if it has tons of minigames and rejected old ideas from the guinsoo era. | ||

Am I doing it wrong or is it just a play style sort of thing? The only thing you really gain from using offense is the 6 Arpen and 4% damage and then you lose out on flash CD and SoS. I don't see how it would be worth it, but I'm not a pro or anything. People go 21 in offense because the 4% damage boost applies to ALL damage you do (if I'm not mistaken). This becomes a decent boost lategame on AD carries when you get your hard hitting items. The crit damage is also helpful as AD champs tend to crit a ton with IE+PD. The reason why SoS and the utility tree isn't as necessary now is because the current meta likes to run AD+support. The support champ can basically provide you with all the lane sustain and utility you need, which is generally what SoS and the utility tree aims for. This way, the AD carry can just focus on purely offense and csing. The summoners CD reduc is nice, but at higher levels of play, you can generally count on your tanks/support along with your knowledge of position to keep you alive as an AD carry long enough so that the cooldowns on summoners is much less of an issue. so, yea, it's kind of a meta/playstyle thing | ||
