From what I gather the only team with similar solo q elos are TSM and all the other teams seem to have much lower individual skill levels compared to CLG. But, TSM fail so spectacularly at teamwork. >_<

Their problem is that they barely know eachother and they mostly play funky champs. Also MASSIVE SPOILERS ON CLG STREAM. + Show Spoiler + CLG trolling vs bots :O Looking forward to the replays.

Dbl and Loci are basically b-teamers, dyrus doesn't really have a team and I don't really know much about qtpie other than he is extremely underrated. I'm just saying that good players to challenge CLG need to stick together instead of making teams with randoms and friends where only 2 out of 5 are decent. Also massive kudos to saintvicious. His play was fantastic all games tonight. If you asked me yesterday I would have told you he's mediocre at best. Today he was really top tier.

That's kinda proving my point though, none of the other established teams competiting apart from TSM have the individual skill to compete, let alone the teamwork.

The only 2 players that have been TSM for more than 1 tournament have been loco and reginald, and they weren't even called TSM. Oddone just disbands teams whenever he has a poor showing, Chaox has only been relevant since the last 2 months, dbl is a b-teamer so... Reginald just picked up players and had them play together. We saw them in the preliminaries, and they had no ability to work together whatsoever, because they had simply never played together as 5 before.

Sure some players can get by in solo q playing a couple champions but in competitive play thats another story...one example that sticks out was chaox on janna. good lord that was an eyesore. Yeah, that is also probably why Stope nation lost. Ban Singed, peth not playing anivia... But regardless, more soloqueue fixes that. LoL has 50+ champions, 4 bans per game are not enough and everyone agrees on that. Switching the banning phase to a ban-pick-ban sort of thing could be interesting too, but really the client needs to be updated to allow variable bans in custom games (and other functionalities too, but w/e).

For example, Kobe cant make this tourney, np get saintvicious. Even the tourney before this one they picked up Dan Dihn and Regi. It seems like the prevailing thought is "why bother setting up your own team, just join CLG and pick up a free tourny win or two".
