Melee champions with melee-based skills naturally produce volatile lanes. Well, actually, there are two kinds of melee champions - those who shrug off harassment (warwick, cho'gath trololo) and those who can't sustain themselves too well and need to win the lane to farm instead. Jax, Xin and some others fall in the latter category. It's absolutely normal that they can close gaps and kill you. That's the way melee laning works, it's balanced by the fact that ganks completely ruin melee offensive playstyles, being in your face at all times means that they are terribly positioned for a sudden 1v2. The problem with Irelia is ridiculous burst AND sustain at the same time meaning she can play defensively and keep farming and when the jungler shows up on the minimap she can switch to offense and kill you. The problem with Jarvan is too much relocation, too many escapes, too much CC and strong autos on top of that. Summing it up, there are too many side effects on his skills. He shouldn't have a shield that also slows, he shouldn't have an aura that also does damage and reveals brush etc. No other melee DPS have those traits. | ||

Is Elo-Play (randomteam) much better than the stuff i get before it? I think about buying an EP booster because the Grind seems pretty long (lvl 10 now) and i'm winning like 80%+ of my games atm and losing is mainly due to 1-2 feeders in my team (randoming with Ryze was terrible, with TF it is a blast :D)... I don't want to spend to much Money on this game and tought that "grinding" up to lvl 30 would give me enough Points to then buy the nice Runes (i bought TF and Ryze, nothing else yet). What do you think? | ||

What do you think? Personally, I would buy the IP boost instead of the Exp Boost. You will get to 30 eventually. Might as well have more IP for champions, rune pages, etc when you get there (or spent before you get there). | ||

What do you think? The difference between lower level ranked (<1200) and level 30 normals skillwise really isn't that big. Infact normals are probably more enjoyable to play because people won't be as angry and trolly. The thing is, skill in LoL is hugely determined by knowledge and experience and if you just dinged 30 you won't have enough and if you'll play ranked youre going to go way down in ELO. So don't buy EXP boost and just play it normally. | ||

I probably will buy something when i can't get the runes once i hit level 30, until then i will wait. I won't buy a boost/points tho... I managed to play Dota for i don't know how long (several years with tons of breaks) with only like 5-10 heroes i had any interest in (of which i played most only in case some guy decided to ban my beloved LoA :p). | ||

LoA is such a troll in pub games, too. You just build tanky dps style and are invulnerable and impossible to escape from and towerdive past 2 turrets without losing any health. Fun fun fun. But anyway, my suggestion is to first buy a few champions you enjoy, preferably 450-1350 IP ones, and then just save up for runes. You're going to want a few full runepages and I guarantee that it's a lot less frustrating to play with just a few champions and proper runes around lvl 30 than it is to play with tens of champions but without proper runepages. Try to save enough for 2 generic runepages for both caster and DPS(Or whatever 2 roles you like playing) | ||

Grind seems pretty long (lvl 10 now) Lv 1-10 is about 25-30 games while 10-30 will be additional 170 games *more if you loose half . I dinged some 100 games ago 30 , but still haven't played ranked . My goal is to play all champions atleast 1-2 times . Play all junglers and study their routes and timings. Get all viable runes ( Almoust done ) Semi-main 2 from each role . Ofc you can ignore all this and go straight to ranked , but then don't dare to rage if you meet some1 who queue locks with champ they newer played / have blank rune page and face check river bush at 4:30 | ||

I honestly just played 3 Heroes until now and decided that 2 of these 3 were just not good for Pubs (Veigar and Ryze) were with 100% certainity some feeded Katrina or whatever will run around and kill you faster than you can cast 3 Spells (rage! :D).Seriously my winrate went from ~50% with Ryze/Veigar to i don't know how high... last time i checked there was only one loss in my recent game list with TF .Are there some Heroes that are a bit like STR-Based "semi"-Carries in Dota (Slardar, Panda, Cent, LoA...) LoA is such a troll in pub games, too. You just build tanky dps style and are invulnerable and impossible to escape from and towerdive past 2 turrets without losing any health. Fun fun fun. Basillus -> Perseverance -> Treads -> Butterfly -> AC -> Buriza -> Basher... Makes pubbies cry and thanks to Basi/Perseverance you could even support when early pushes occured .Fun times (Meka or even Shivas... is just not worth it in Pubs...). | ||
