The teams get satisfied, Riot keeps the tournament's "integrity", and we the fans get to see high-level players rage and troll each other.

What do you guys think of Mejai's + Rylai's + Zhonya's Hourglass? I feel Kennen's relatively hard to kill with Rylai's + Zhonya's, plus once he goes in and blows his ult in a teamfight, he's relatively harmless thereafter, making him a pretty low priority target- making Mejai's pretty desirable on him IMO.

So good. ^^ On May 28 2011 08:55 Zato-1 wrote: So, regarding the Kennen discussion that's been going on and off here... What do you guys think of Mejai's + Rylai's + Zhonya's Hourglass? The only problem with that is all those items are expensive. That's a 11240 gold build as your core not even including boots. Just Rylais+Zhonyas is 6420g, no boots. And they can always just get MRes so you need to get MPen from somewhere, like Voidstaff. You don't want to be just a stun bot.

Once you're done with your game, watch the replay so you have at least 10 minutes to calm down, and try to fix what you did wrong. If you win, still watch it to learn and try to get better. By doing this, you watch your play, you get better, you calm down when you lose and avoid tilting.

How'd you jump from 6420g to 11240g? O.o Mejai's only costs 1235g, not close to 5000g ^^;

I may be mistaken because I haven't really followed which players are on which team though. TSM has also replaced 2/5 of their original roster (IIRC only Regi, Chaox, and TheOddOne remain that were on the original TSM player list)--and they probably had enough points to qualify before they enlisted TheRainMan and Xpecial as well. Obviously TSM as it exists now is putting up results, but so is EG.

Obviously TSM as it exists now is putting up results, but so is EG. How long has the current TSM been together? And sure they had enough points to qualify long ago, but they're also the #2 seed ... it's not like they haven't been earning circuit points recently, whereas EG has earned all of 15 circuit points in this calendar year (or fewer, I actually have no idea whatsoever where their circuit points have come from other than the 100 from WCG, because Marcou doesn't feel that linking results is important). I mean, I'm not doubting that by all rights the current EG team is good enough to deserve a place in the Dreamhack qualifiers based on skill, I just think the whole qualification system is really off-the-wall and being able to replace 40% of your roster like two weeks before a tournament that concludes a six-plus-month-long season is equally strange.
