If the tanky DPS doesn't have hard CC I think Kog might be able to just out-DPS them in some cases if they initiate. The other day a mundo charged at me and he died first. I dunno, maybe if he leveled E instead of Q, maybe if I didn't have creep support, maybe it's cause it was mundo and not olaf or xin. That's about the only example I can give that has any meaning whatsoever, I'm not convinced that other tanky DPS I've fought as Kog were ever doing anything right, one time I had Xin and Olaf. As an aside though, I feel like Tryndamere counters Kog hard. You might even DPS him down first but he has a gap closer and a I-don't-die button and you have a passive which he just spins away from. Made me so sad. | ||

I think part of the problem is people do this stupid thing called using ghost/flash on kogmaw. I have zero experience but I think it's bad. I think kogmaws might do a lot better in today's meta by taking flash/exhaust. Here's why ghost is kind of pointless: tanky DPS jumps on you, hits you with red buff, triforce proc or whatever other spammable slow they all have. You ghost. He ghosts. He's still faster and can keep applying the slow on you. He kills you. Your ghost basically did nothing except peel both of you away from the rest of your team, which is exactly what he wanted anyways. Or say you're up against akali. Ghost is completely useless. Exhaust might gimp her just long enough for your team + you to kill her before she kills you. Kogmaw really doesn't kite well beyond his E, which is a really good slow but isn't fulproof. However, he has great range so he should just aim to position himself to be fairly difficult to dive, and then just stand his ground with the help of his team, and focus down the people diving for him with the help of his team. | ||

Another melee champ who is going to be absolutely impossible to kick out of lane and renders ranged DPS useless. And just in case he seems too squishy early on before he can rush HoG/Negatrons with a Ghostblade like EVERY OTHER CHAMPION, let's give him a shield and lifesteal. Honestly the whole tanky DPS thing wasn't bothering me that much until this point. It's getting ridiculous already. | ||
