nope, no chance of that. if it was a private, invite-only forum, maybe we'd consider it, but with a publicly viewable forum no way. there are several staff/banlings that play LoL and read this section, and you can always feel free to PM me or any of 'em

we'll put something somewhere soon. I'm not bein' like, "Tee hee, I won't tell them", we're just not sure where to put it yet. it's not quite as simple as putting it wherever it's convenient for you guys and just leaving it at that, we have to figure out how public we want it to be, whether it merits building something additional into the site for this and future semi-private forums, stuff like that. 99% of the reason stuff runs so smoothly around here is everyone plans shit out down to tiny details. the 1% is when those plans horribly blow up in our face and R1CH has to bail us out
Well ok. Appreciate the explanation.
But is there any reason why this subforum would even be semi-private? I mean I can understand with Mafia, once a game starts, there's little to no reason to have new players join in or read. But with this subforum, any one that wants to try LoL is welcome to, even encouraged.
LoL has their own forum through which anyone can try the game. This section is TL members who play the game, and anyone who spends enough time on TL & plays the game enough to be interested in this section will (soon) be able to find it.
on the other hand, we don't want LoL players who don't give two licks about sc/sc2 to come anywhere near TL. if you know the LoL official forums are bad, i'm sure everyone else knows it too, and I sure as hell don't want all of them flocking here!
elo hell starts at 1600 on EU. So many horrible losses... Guess I should note that I didn't get Sona in most of these games, and my one recent loss with Sona was in a 4v5.
Sona Zilean carry. I only died once and that was after scoring a quadrakill and towerdiving as zilean to try to kill TF 10 seconds before they surrendered so I could get a penta lol
What is the name of L0CUST's team? I think TheOddOne is on it too. I've seen him pwn HotshotGG on his stream and he seems like a really smart guy and someone that takes the game very seriously based off this post: http://www.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=333109
I know his team got DQ'd from WCG but would they most likely have won the whole thing?
CLG was the odds on favorite for no real reason, but I think L0CUST'S team would've pushed their shit in from experience vs. both teams.
The team as I've seen it includes: L0CUST, TheOddOne, cFangNasty, frozt, Classick, and Master of LoL. On the whole I think CLG has slightly stronger individual players (thought TheOddOne is absurdly good), but I think the way they play as a team (which I credit to L0CUST's leadership based purely on speculation, lol) is just so tight and we always feel so underprepared and helpless vs. them.
L0cust's team, huk. No but tbh, I don't think his team has an official (or unofficial) name for that matter. It's L0cust's team cause he does all the inane orga stuff that no one else wants to do and herd people to practice. He drops by TL from time to time, like LoCi, so he can speak for himself if he reads this.
His team is TheOddOne, Classick, cFangNasty, MrTheZebra. MasteR of LoL, Grafic, Xpecial and Frozt are also on the team.
As for winning WCG... who knows? But L0cust and CLG are both in the finals for a not-very-well-publicized AlienWare tourney that's coming up.
And I never would have known about this tournament unless L0CUST made that topic himself. RIOT needs a tournaments section or something on the front page. It will help get LoL more competitive like the SC scene and raise the quality of the games. Not to mention it's always cool to watch the pros play. Best case scenario they could give the 'observer mode' technology to those hosting big tournaments so the games could be shoutcasted live.
The AlienWare tourney doesn't really have Riot's involvement, so I doubt we'll get a shoutcast or anything of that sort. At best, we can hope that Hotshot or Elementz record and release VODs after the tournament. afaik, no one on L0CUST's team can stream. I've asked numerous times.

Lack of hardware. L0CUST and co were even willing to scrim Uta's team a bunch of times, simply out of practice (and so they can avoid the 30+ min q times). So it's not like they're hiding much.
We'd be willing to scrim if we could put up a bit more of a fight... at the moment it feels like we're just rolling over and dying... learning one or two new things every time but we've got a few basic problems that we need to work on (I think) before we can start climbing back up.
Hahah, I'm sure that's part of it but we're also having issues exerting control against players that, I guess "intimidate" us? Like we end up playing super cautious, except for me, who plays super not-very cautious, so we end up with like these bizarre do-or-die failures. lolol.

Need reps. :[ Want to see why it is you gaiz roll over, huk. Or maybe L0CUST can tell you. XD
I'd always be up to scrimmage with them and stream it so that people can see how horribly we get raped, lol. It's always been a lopsided ass raping when we play them though, it's horribly depressing when you're not in the state of mind to accept a loss.
I dunno how much of it is the intimidation Utah... i mean, we'll match up against Regi's team 3 times in a row and make progress and do better each successive game, but against L0CUST it's just lopsided game after lopsided game. I think we tend to be confident individual players but we just get collectively outplayed vs. them. That last game was a lesson on "don't cover top as WW after top gives up first blood because then NuNu will sneak an early dragon" and "taking the opposing red buff for your carry doesn't always do a whole lot of good and sometimes just means NuNu can get your red then go top and FB". I dunno, maybe after 4 or 5 scrimmages though we would stop making mistakes like those that cost us the game in < 15 minutes and we could start having more interesting games vs. them.
