Yes, probably some imbalances, and especially before max level. It will not happen, but it would be cool. I really don't see any amazing ESPORTS potential in this game, I really don't, but seeing some talentrees and good ol' druid talent names made me think it would be cool with like, a pvp 3rd person simulator moba? haha. And LoL does have the out-of-game levelling, but per summoner right? Not per hero?

Their purpose is irrelevant though. Either you like their game or you dont, that is all there is to it. (personally I am disappointed by HotS so far)

I don't think adding an rpg element to leveling up your character across matches would bring anything to the game at all. just an advantage for people with more time. Leveling up in league is like putting in the time to be able to play ranked there is no skill tree associated. i don't care what blizzards intentions were. I'm having fun dunking with and upon characters i've enjoyed for more than a decade. Pokemon of the storm next please.

Nonetheless, they're not just throwing games at us to milk our wallets. That would be EA, releasing a new CoD every year with barely any new features. Blizzard doesn't release games very often, though their pace has sped up in the last few years, merely because they are offering more different titles. Your reasoning for this situation is flawed though. If they had just been wanting money, they would have done exactly what you said: copy DotA, stamp the Blizzard name on it and use stuff from their franchise without changing anything else. That would be greedy, lazy, and low. However, they did not do that. They went through the effort of thinking and creating very distinct mechanics which don't exist in the MOBA genre, and they built it based on their vision. Of course they want to make money, but they didn't just put that together over a period of 3 months to release it and "milk" it.

Also known as Activision-Blizzard Never, ever forget that. Blizzard is not the same company it was when it made the games that make us think of Blizzard as Blizzard. Thats why the pace has picked up.

Yeah, because all the companies made so much trying to make the next WoW. blizzard trying to make LOL or dota 2 is a sure fire way for it to fail. They have to make their own game and beig something new to the table. Otherwise they are just doing what everyone else did for WoW and failed at. Also, I love the comments about how good Blizzard was "back in my day". Because they didn't take a ton of flack when D2 was released and could only run at 800x600. No one freaked out at all about that back in the day. Edit: casual players are people who play candy crush. Blizzard isn't making a game for them. They are making a game for my fianceé, who loves games, but is in a band and don't have the time to learn dota 2 or LoL.

I mean sure "Once you play 100 games everyone is on even footing *exceptforopchampsandrunestralalala*" but I definitely had friends who were pretty annoyed by the fact that they didn't have access to Flash when people dunked them.

My comment was in response to the suggestion that your characters can have a skill tree that you can level up across games. I just said this is nothing like LoL. Being annoyed that you havn't unlocked everything is pretty lame. go unlock it. If your not lvl30 your probably so bad it doesn't matter anyway.

Only challenger players should get flash. Great logic there. There's literally no world where somebody can be so bad that taking away their best option "doesn't matter".

I just meant there is a lot more to worry about in your first 100 games or w.e.
