Rocks. More Rocks.
Maybe there is another game director for LOTV then?

Yes, that's why David Kim had to answer the question you guys all remember and blame him for answering. Either way, i did not hear a thing about it but judging from post, i like their direction.

Probably still some, but it doesn't seem like as much as an item system.
Having played 3 games, I can say it's definitely NOT snowbally. Neutrals help end the game very quickly, but if you hold out, its still very balanced. There are no kill tracker, only kill+assist, by the end of the game that we dominated (my score was 28-1, and my friends 32-1, and the rest of the team having around 4~ deaths while the other team had 8+ each), they held us pretty well at the end until we managed to get the last dragon knight, I was like 19 and they were level 17, not a huge difference, and the lack of items really makes comebacks easy
But does that mean it isn't snowbally, or that they were watching a 10 minute+ death animation.
Because while playing Aeon of Storm I have had plenty of games where it was fast enough clear who wins, but it simply takes alot of time to kill all towers when the enemy are still semi-competent at defending them.

It's good to hear that from first impressions, but I think it may be to early to have a definitive answer on balance. Getting your hands on the game is certainly the best info currently though.
When you played, was the client at all accessible? To be exact how was game hosting/chat handled.

also I wish they would give some swarmy ability for kerrigan, otherwise she would just be another powerful being instead of a leader of the swarm
They only mentioned that they would beta test at the beginning of next year, nothing about a release date as of yet.
Really liking the idea of skill trees and getting to decide what skills you have as opposed to buying what items you can dependent on your farm. The thing that ruins this for me, though, is the shared experience. Even if you're playing poorly, if the rest of your team is going well you'll still have the levels to get the skills you want. I don't feel this rewards skilled players enough.
On the other hand, I suppose it's much less punishing to players who make mistakes early on and gives them a chance to redeem themselves meaning you're not doomed to spend the rest of the game lamenting how terribly you played, though I don't think that's as big a deal as it would be in LoL or Dota since game times are shorter. Gonna have to see how this pans out or if they change anything, maybe it's not as terrible as I think it is, but I really do enjoy skilled players being rewarded for being better.
When I heard Raynor first phrase I expected flaming diabolical bears to come out xD I really like the idea of using and abusing all cliches and jokes they can into the game!

Yeah, if only games were made by more than one person. -_-
And apart from that, Dustin is actually an amazing game director. Having been a part of some of the greatest strategy games ever made and having an attitude of listening carefully to the fans and his team and being generally very friendly and open. If I was creating anything strategy related I would definitely hire this guy as my first choice.

I guess that's true, if you're talking about dota the WC3 mod...
Edit: I also find the whole notion of 20 minute games a bit irksome.. the implication being that Dota matches or whatever last forever and ever. The average game time for Dota2 is about 30 minutes, that's perfectly fine, imo. http://dotabuff.com/matches So HOTS is going to have all these artificial ways of closing out matches in 20 minutes, removing depth etc. Just looks like bad game design, imo.
I expect it to be as fun for the MOBA genre as WoW was for the MMO genre. Remember, hardcore MMO players thought WoW was stupid and cartoony at first, too.
They will win, if they manage to grab the attention of female gamers too, the way LoL did. I think it's silly if they don't include a traditional map alongside their own game modes. Everybody will demand it. "Hero Brawler" - new term for Dota/Moba etc. It seems every big game of this type comes up with their own term.

I believe the word you're looking for is different rather than bad. Easy to make such a typo I know, I see it everywhere.

30 minutes as an average game length is way too long for me, it makes it difficult for me to ever play a game of dota or lol. A 20 minute long game makes it much easier to fit real life around it.
