What's exactly the hook/gorge build? What are the talents that need to be taken?

When in melee-ish range you can eat a hero and keep the hero in your belly for a few seconds before spitting the hero back out. Hook is a primary ability. So hook your opponent with a get-over-here scorpion attack and before the hero can distance themselves, gorge. In late game you can time out a continuous gorge until the hero is no more.

I'm still leveling up (around 21 atm), but at this point, I'm fairly confident in my ability to figure out the things I'd need to since you can look at all the talents in hero info. The gating should probably be turned off once you're level 10 or something.
Like...what's the real reasoning behind having it? I get it for new people - having fewer things to decide makes things easier to get into. But once you understand the game, it just ends up being an annoying hurdle preventing you from accessing a hero's full potential. It also has this effect where you think the first two talents of each tier are not as good as the last 3. This is definitely not true and some heroes benefit greatly from the vanilla abilities. Even beyond that, it prevents adaptability. For the heroes with several different build paths that depend on the enemy, you really end up pigeonholed for several games. Now, it's really not that much of an issue for me yet cuz I'm still leveling up, but I'm sure it'll bother me more as people get better. Even then, I'll likely view it a lot like I view LoL or Smite queues - ranked is the only thing that matters, regular games are meh.
Honestly when you're just learning the game it almost doesn't matter what talents you pick (outside of a few heroes that are absolutely talent dependent). Getting a hero with a bad default heroic however sucks.
That said, it doesn't take until lvl 30 to 'learn' the game. I think level 20 is a good place to remove talent gating if they insist on keeping it. That way you still have the milestones of lvl 10 stimpack, lvl 12 extra free hero rotation slot, lvl 15 all free hero rotation slots, lvl 20 no talent gating, lvl 30 hero league, lvl 40 team league.

This is long overdue. Still, I can't believe how many slam/bile Stitches I see now when hook/gorge is the better build most of the time in pub play.
Let's put the Gorge nerf into perspective, currently the damage is 100 + 25 / level, which actually more than Singularity Spike (100 + 20 / level). Now it used to be double, so Stiches went from having a CC with double bombs to a CC with the baseline talent. It's a pretty big lose of damage, which isn't made up elsewhere on the team since at lvl 10 towers / forts don't help you as much and a lot of burst heroes were nerfed last patch as well.
That said, slam build and Fishing Hook aren't mutually exclusive, you don't need Pulverize most of the time. Although it seems the meta is starting to prefer Stiches with amp healing over slam anyways (so healing + bile + fishing hook basically). Then again I don't trust pubs to set up long hooks and I prefer Pulverize to interrupt annoying channeled abilities (again I don't trust my team to do it =x).
But ya, with Gorge being nerfed, Hardened Shields being so good (hard to pass it up for Blink) and the meta shifting to single, super-survivable tank (see Chen's popularity in Europe at least), you kind of want Bile to control the fight once it comes since there won't be another warrior to help you out with that.
BTW, I find it hilarious that they're finally picking up that Hook is what defines Stiches. When I read the patch addendum for why they removed Cast Aside from Tyrael as too binary it was as if they really meant to say Hook / Stiches.

I bought Brightwing on Sunday and have been playing her (him? it?) pretty much exclusively since. From the small amount of research I've done, she doesn't seem to be very high on the support tier list - is this because she can't get healing ward? In that same vein, I'm still figuring out how to build her, but teleporting and blinking everywhere is a blast.
I don't really care too much about tier lists though, I'm going to continue playing her because I absolutely love her flavor and have so much fun playing her.
edit - my perception may be skewed as I'm still leveling up

Oh what I was asking was what are the talents for this build? I've played stitches a few times but most of my games were using slam.

Hook / Gorge is just the combination of Fishing Hook at lvl 16 and Gorge at lvl 10.
You used to take Blink at lvl 20 to better place where the picked hero would end up, but I don't think people do that that anymore.

As far as I know they still do, and I also do if I pick Gorge while I pick Hardened Shield when I choose Putrid Bile. Sure you can get Hardened Shield even with Gorge but you are already going for that pick-off build with him, Bolt of the Storm is just too good to pass.
To be honest Stitches really needs a buffs to his level 20 heroic abilities upgrades, while nerfs to his health and some talents. Putrid Bile and Gorge upgrades are hardly appealing when you take a look at the Bolt of the Storm and Hardened Shield and sick combos with the rest of your kit that they provide you.

I don't got 15000 gold. Debating whether I should just pay for her. I probably should. Now debating whether I should buy just her, or the skin combo she comes with. Hmmmmmm

Not an official announcement. And they don't say when next week, but it would be really weird if it wasn't during the normal Tuesday maintenance.
I'm pretty psyched for the new map.

If that's the case just about every lvl 40 will have enough to grab Sylvanas right away. With that thought I hope it's not the gold patch, because I don't want to fight over picking her lol.
