But it just made me think that the Blizzard categorizations are sometimes just misleading (i.e. - Tassadar / Tyrande). I know Sonya has good burst so it makes sense to play her as melee assassin. Does Anub have good burst though? Or is it more about his initiation / cc's?

Comps have not been completely figured out yet either, we've seen double tanks, double healers, triple assassins etc etc and no-one knows what's better. E.T.C is a very special pick and can look completely op against setups with low burst/vulnerable to cc (I haven't seen that rehgar+malf+etc game but I can imagine the amount of healing...). Sooner or later people with also realize how op gazlowe is... until then, free points for me hehehehe.

And she can do a surprising amount with her damage talents. But I'm not sure this build is the best way to go about it. I still think Lili is a hero where you mostly want to make every talent choice individually every single game. Thank you for trying it out and giving some feedback! I can see shake it off vs. certain comps where herbal cleanse wouldn't keep you safe (can't cleanse poly, stun, etc.). And without pitch perfect, yeah, mana really suffers. CC that eliminates Lili's control is the real crux of this build. But if they don't have those things, it might be really powerful since I think it would be very difficult to lock Lili down. I never even thought of the 1000 cups + mass vortex + surging winds, but that's a pretty wicked combo. I admit, as you say, unless you have two supports or it's a super-small map or something, it's tough to imagine too many situations where water dragon hustle would be superior. 70-80% of games probably.

Also ETC's emergence. With guitar hero and echo pedal, ETC has pretty good wave clear, decent self sustain and really good burst for a tank. In terms of burst damage, he's probably only second to Arthas while providing good utility. You get into melee range, AA swing, E instant swing, Q, and then W. They immediately take 300% AA damage, Q damage, W damage, 3-4 ticks of echo pedal, and ideally get pushed into a pretty vulnerable position. Another reason with he emergence is that he gets bolt at 20. Again, this is just like the case of Tyrael's return -- with the loss of resurgence, it actually matters what 20 talents the warriors have. Bolt is a great 20 talent and it works really well with mosh pit. If you think about comps, usually teams will run 2-3 interrupts. If you can bait 1 interrupt (like waiting for Tychus to Odin), bolt and mosh pit to catch another interrupt, and have a Nazeebo on your team, things get really ugly really fast. Also, the Hyperion vs. Banshees choice. Banshee is generally a better choice. But, Hyperion actually is a better choice if you can force the enemy team to attack into a location. So, in other words, Sky Temple. It's also good on Garden where there are engagements around the terrors. I also don't know why people are talking about berserk here when bullseye is a must take talent.

I don't know why Blizzard doesn't release the game already, this Beta testing phase feels very polished and doesn't even feel like beta at all. The delay of official release is just going to kill the hype and excitement the fans have and bite Blizzard in the ass later. The fact that you can BUY beta access means they're ready to officially launch the game ffs lol.

You have no profile screen. How ridiculous is that? You have no match history sceen outside of your replay menu. You have no clans, no guilds, no team hubs. You have no team league, no real solo queue, no real ranking system because everyone agrees HL is a joke. You have no integrated communication system in a game where communication is everything. You have placeholder icons for a lot of things. You have placeholder talents on a lot of heroes and heroes that need reworks. You have a myriad of bugs. You only have 33 heroes (IIRC). The competitive scene is still trying to find its footing. The streaming community is still in its infancy. It's not ready.

The most obvious technical issue to show why the game isn't ready for launch. The official tech support forums are flooded with people complaining about performance issues (based on the last game I kickstarted that's supposedly the last thing you do, so they aren't ready until they tackle that). Not to mention all the missing features Brian mentioned.

Do you get less XP for hero kills when you are levels ahead compared to equal levels?

Do you get less XP for hero kills when you are levels ahead compared to equal levels? The team with less xp gets more and that increases by level difference. HotS has a strong comeback mechanic and matches can turn around with one good group fight, at least on the less snowbally maps. Also according to the Q4 2014 earnings call "Heroes of the Storm has 9 million users registered for beta".
