Cain would be a pretty terrible hero. He'd lose a melee combat to Abathur.

Whilst I suspect that Blizzard is retarded enough to actually do this I wonder what his abilities would be? You'll note that everyone in this game is someone who is capable of fighting and their abilities are pulled from what made them famous in their respective games. Who the fuck is going to need identification free of charge? It's also quite unlikely that characters from games before 2007 will be in this game and if they are it will probably be in their most recent updated state. There are some exceptions like the Lost Vikings, Falstad (literally fucking who?) and a Diablo that doesn't have sexy bum, but generally they want characters and images that more people know about because this game is incredibly heavy on fan servicey wank. I suspect we'll see more of them when we enter a barrel scraping phase but I can think of maybe 30 characters we can insert before that happens.

For D2 characters the Druid and Necromancer would be quite cool. Did the Druid have healing spells? I just remember him shape shifting and having cyclone which seemed pretty cool. I don't know if the Amazon or Sorcerer or Pally will make it in after their D3 incarnations take all their cool stuff (plus Uther). I also wonder if there's enough design space to make male/female versions of the Diablo heroes. I guess at this point they might just be skins the way Maiev was relegated from hero to skin.

The Hots bit is interesting if not concerning if it's true.

The game seems good enough to break even at least and It seems likely to have a competitive scene at some point. I'd hate to see people lose their jobs over this.

The game seems good to me, I've already spent 30+ $ on it, not sure what their expectations were if it's true but considering it's gated entry who knows.

Jk but I can see where the execs/board are coming from. They are probably skeptical that hots will be able to command a sizable market share when faced up against lol, dota, and to a lesser extent smite. Given that free to play game like hits requires very high userbase to turn profits, even I would doubt hots success as a money maker. Still, the game is fun and success can't really be predicted 100% so hopefully we as the player base can increase and prove them wrong. I'm excited for over watch as well.

Interesting, but usually such leaks are seeded with wrong information, too, in order to hide the person that revealed it. Especially in the week that Jeffrey Sterling was sentenced I guess anyone leaking stuff would be cautious. And too much of it is easily accessible information. Also many numbers seem off. In my opinion this is a clear fake.

When it comes to support in the Diablo universe a few characters come to my mind. Adria might be the most likely. And Blizzard games have a rather steady fanbase. And they have their eastereggs etc. So its no surprise to see that the Butcher is one of the next heroes to come. Unless they threw over a few things after Blizzcon. And I will run again like a chicken ... well the first time i met him he just butchered me. Either way they haven't given up on Heroes, otherwise they wouldn't look for ways to promote it. Selling early access is there to make the top floor happy meanwhile and it made a crappy deal interesting again. Will make Heroes the first new generation game by Blizzard that didn't self promote itself. Well they heavily promoted Warlords of Dreanor too. Seems like team games are harder to get free promotion for on twitch. And hey its already better then their superman game ![]()

Half of the post doesn't make sense. Gutting Diablo 3's team to make a "secret project" set in the SC universe, what? Senior executive being laid off over HotS' supposedly poor forecast success? That's literally unbelievable. I don't think Blizzard is the type of company to lay off senior employees for such trivial reasons. That is such a clickbait thing to say.
