He said it doesn't necessarily have to be a team^^ Well, he stated he was looking for a competitive 5-man team OR people to queue with. I was simply suggesting the former isn't really viable, and that he should focus more on just finding people to 2 or 3-person queue with.

Restarting the client will fix it but unfortunately by the time you get back in the AI has usually picked a terrible level 4 talent for you.

I've played with many of the top ranked players who aren't on big name teams and they're just downright terrible. On hotslog my MMR is only about 3.5k and these people are like 5k and just making the worst possible decisions. I consider this as a hidden brag. ![]() But I guess there is a reason for why you need +100 games to come on the leaderboard. Too easy to get high mmr with less games if you just are somewhat better than the low level players and play a hero that can make a difference.

I sure as hell only remember those who pulled through after the game was released and the ones that were entertaining to watch during Beta, like debo. Being at the top know definitely gives you an edge, but at this point I'm convinced that in the long run, it doesn't matter.

Lots of people became famous during Sc2 beta.

The best teams are only on at certain hours and even then they're generally playing customs. So if your team is at least a coordinated group of bad players you can beat a disorganized group of good players.

Many would argue, and would be correct, that everyone on that list outside of TLO was already pretty well known in the RTS scene either via BW or WC3. But since SC2 esports was wildly popular and it just so happened to coincide with the massive rise in streaming many of those players grew in fame well beyond what they started at.

The players going to Blizzcon aren't bad but I guarantee more than half of them will be forgotten as soon as retail hits and more players join. Some of them like Sheth and ZPs are genuinely good and will likely still be among the top players at retail, but a lot of the other players probably aren't even in the top 100 currently, let alone after release. SC2 was a bit different because most of the notable players to come out of beta (IdrA, Nony, White-Ra, etc) were all already known and good at BW. You could argue the same applies to Heroes because a lot of the currently-good players are coming from League or DOTA... but the game is different enough that it doesn't. You can tell a lot of League players are really struggling to understand objectives and teamfights; most of them just want to sit in lanes all game and can't comprehend the value of objectives yet.
