i feel like arena 'skill' is simply directly proportional to your starting hand lately
if you're able to shit out your hand like 2 1 drops on turn 1 and a turn 2 mana wraith while i have 3 drops in my hand, you're obviously a sick player
if you fuck up the ordering and discover cult master anyway to refill your hand, i'll never be as good as you
if i'm constantly forced to draft between 3 great cards then 3 fucking joke cards that should've been rotated out of arena, i should just fucking uninstall honestly
and who can forget everyone's favorite arena start of pyro + PW:S + coin + holy smite for a board clear honestly
totally should've played around that and every boardclear ever at turn 3 against a priest

Why do some people have a hard time accepting that in a card game, not every deck will have a 50/50 matchup against every other deck. Mostly thinking of Fatigue-Jade Druid, but also of Freeze Mage-Control Warrior and Priest-Anyfin.

I've been trying to figure that out since hearthstone released - they complain about RNG then complain that every time you queue on ladder isn't just a coin flip and you actually need to put some thought into your deck choice if you want to win against the meta.

I just played against a guy who had 2 Tirions in the top half of his deck. At one win in arena. Well. Fucking. Met.

Played 11 standard games today. Played against 11 mid range jade shammies.
Game 12 I just auto quit.
Love how diverse and fun our new meta is.

Yeah. The Kel'Thuzad - Rafaam brawl is one of my favorite brawls ever. While Kel'Thuzad was absolutely favored, being able to win with Rafaam in that brawl felt awesome because you had to think of how to win the game.

That's normal now. Except when I draft, my drafts are always shit with maybe an auctionmaster beardo and some bad to average epics. One board clear at most.

I'm in the same boat. I believe the 3 choices for my last legend in arena were Auctionmaster Beardo, Nat the Darkfisher & Patches. I was also offered 3 spells out of 90 cards (Thistle Tea, Journey Below & Backstab), which isn't going to get you far. I ended up going 4-3 with that Rogue, once you fall behind on board with no AoE you're screwed.

he only bashed his face, every single other spell was beneficial for him (well, Humility set one of the Treants to 1 attack). Before that Yogg, I had the board and him down to 10 life. His 1 mana cost minion also was a mana wyrm.

I still don't understand how you are supposed to beat priest in the late game. I guess if you just complain enough about it... I still think that even before MSoG, what priest lacked in the early game they make up for in light years in the lategame.
