Yes, with miracle rogue and Amaz style priest being the first to come to mind. I think the main decks running silences now are druids (Keeper of the Grove is all around solid) and various aggro decks (which use Owl to bypass taunts).

Some notable exceptions are all watcher decks (handlock) druids (Keeper of the Grove), Shaman (Earth Shock) and a few others I'm forgetting.
I think they just want the synergy of a focused deck over the flexibility of being able to deal with any silenceable target.

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but there seem to be some targeting hacks around? Against some player they can hit the same target with knife juggler like 5 times in a row and even with 2 knife jugglers out, one warlock didn't hit me even once and they always targeted the same minion with each knife until it was dead. Also played with a mage who for example Arcane Missile'd 4 times in my concealed Gadgetzan Auctioneer despite me having 3 other targets available with the other Arcane Missile hitting 3 times on the SI:7 Agent and 0 on me. Sure, RNG is RNG but for example the mage's play against the concealed auctioneer was to Azure Drake and Arcane Missiles at 6 mana, with "I'm Sorry" before the Arcane Missiles even finished hitting the Auctioneer.
This mage also was rank 5 with a pretty terrible deck and made constant misplays.

Can only comment on one part here. Animations don't happen simultaneously for both players. He probably finished watching the animations killing your minions before saying "I'm sorry", even if they where still going on on your screen.

Is it just me, or does anyone else rarely you get offered AoE cards in arena? I only seem to get one every 4 or so arenas.

Depends on what class you usually play. Some classes have Basic AoE cards (Paladin / Mage), others like Shaman have AoE cards of higher rarity, meaning its much less likely to appear.

Old control paladin didn't run silences either. A few of them with Watchers would run one Spellbreaker. Though I don't run silences as Paladin since you have the options of dealing with pretty much everything efficiently.

Will cards in Naxxramas be obtainable from packs, or only through adventures? I'm wondering if I should hold off opening my saved packs or if it's safe to open them now.
|
Only adentures, which requires gold to open up. So you can safely open your packs, but might want to consider saving up some gold soon

Can someone point me to some top legend handlock decks without jaraxxus or alex? I have Leeroy if needed.

Are the regional qualifiers for the World Championships online or offline? I see the date for the main tournament everywhere but I don't see anything about the qualifiers.

Most handlocks don't use Jaraxxus or Alex (miracle rogue doesn't care if you have 15 health). I'm pretty sure the one that Kolento is currently using is this but with BGH in place of Jaraxxus.

Hey Guys and Gals Quick question I'm new to Hearthstone and I was wondering should I save my gold for arena and such or buy packs ( It's around 400 gold) Thanks
|
I just achieved Rank 20 (with 1 star) for the season, & my special card back didn't show up. I also restarted the game. What did I do wrong?
|
you get the cardback at the end of the season. the only exception is if you hit legend. that you get immediately.
Edit:@ Lukee: you should play the game a bit to get to know all the card and what they do. After you play some you should get a feeling what cards do and what are good cards. THEN you should head over to arena and and, ofc, try to get as many wins as possible. + the magic number of wins is 7, because you get your 150 gold back but it's ok to go with 3 because you get more than 50 gold so it's better than simply buying packs. (technically there's an opportunity cost of 10 because if you miss 3 wins at [un]ranked, but that's not really important) there are guides in the arena strategy how to draft arena cards and also lists how good cards in arena are. namely "AntiGrav1ty's" and "Trump's". but it's more important to have a good curve than always picking the best card. imo.

Is anyone else encountering some bugs in the game?
-I played a mana wraith in a game, but on the next turn, the opposing mage played a mana wyrm and used the token when he only had 3 mana...he should've only been able to play either the mana wyrm or the token, not both.
-I was able to use shiv for 3 dmg when I only had +1 spell damage on the field when I had 3 mana....
I lost the game involving the mana wyrm and I won the game with the 3 dmg shiv with tempo...does blizzard know about this?

So turns out, at 10 mana you CANT innervate hero power deathwing or innervate deathwing hero power... how come?

Innervate can´t give you more than 10 mana at a time. You can hero power innervate deathwing tough.

The second one I don't know unless knowing what is on board. Was there a wild pyro? maybe you saw wrong on the hp or forgot you attacked with the dagger. I have never seen the game miscount the spell dmg.
