How does spell damage interact with secrets? The damage number on my explosive trap card goes up when it is in my hand, but when I've played it the secret still says 2 damage.
EDIT: Now it activated, and it did 3 damage! The minion with +1 spell damage was still in play, so I guess my replacement question is: When is the damage added? When you play the card or when the secret activates?
EDIT2: I did it again, and this time I think I played the spell damage minion after the secret, so I think what matters is if it is in play when the secret activates. Can anyone confirm this?

when the secret is activated, so you need the +1 minion in play to benefit from it

Great. It really should say on the secret popup info though, that it currently benefits from increased spell damage.

oh my god imagine how you would feel if they allowed people to chat normally.

I agree, and there is a lot of things that should be on the cards but isn't. They have said that they don't want to write to much on each card so they don't mind people testing these things out for themselves.

do spells that don't have the amount of damage set on the card (holy wrath, savagery, blade flurry, shadowflame) benefit from +spell damage?

Tbh spell power is still the most confusing mechanic in Hearthstone.

Some quick questions:
-Thoughts on fan of knives vs. blade flurry for rogue? -Black knight vs. tink; I can't decide what to run in some of my midrange decks like rogue. Thoughts? -Do you guys actually like loot hoarder? Can't tell if I'd rather run argent squires or something

Golden Mountain Giant. I have 1 non-golden, and don't use either in any of my decks. Should I DE the golden one?

i prefer blade flurry because I got all rogue weapons in my deck. It's great removal and deals damage to every character so with poison and assasinsblade that means 5 dmg to everything which is pretty neat.
if I had to choose I'd go for the Black Knight simply because it seems to be the more stable card to me
loot hoarder is good and arguable better then the 1/2 card draw creature because a loot hoarder will allow you to kill 3/2 drops.

8 mana and 3 cards to deal 5 damage to the board, or without poison 7 mana and 2 cards to deal 3 damage to the board... it's not that effective I'd say, although you can hit several times with the blade, or actually use it turns 6 provided you don't get your weapon destroyed, contrary to stuff like Flamestrike. It's still 2 cards though, and since I wouldn't put 2 assassin's blades in my deck and you often use your poisons pretty early, it sounds super situational.
Fan of knives is weak without spell power, but since you can combine it with stuff like betrayal or backstab it helps to snipe some minions. Its main draw is the cantrip though, in my eyes.

Berserker is 5/6. Opponent plays Aldor Peacekeeper on it. Will he gain attack the next time he takes damage? I found out last night this is not the case for Humility

yes, same with anything else. you can buff on top of it, just that you start at 1 attack.

Should I craft Tinkmaster or Black Knight? I feel like Tinkmaster is overall more versatile, but BK seems more consistently good.

Depends on what class you tend to run, a class without good hard removal(Druids who are limited to bad removal like naturalize)? Tinkmaster. A class with decent hard removal(Hex and polymorph for example for shaman and mage)? Black Knight. Overall i prefer tinkmaster because of how he handles stuff like sylvanas and tirion without triggering their effects.

I enjoy all the classes. Right now I'm running Druid, Shaman, Rogue, and Mage decks on ladder.

Except it doesn't work after Humility so I'm not sure why you would say "same as anything else".

Only if you need the dust. Even if you never use it, eventually you will get all the normal cards and the only thing to aquire are the golden versions. Ofcourse this can take a while and if you don't care about gold cards/don't play them then why not DE right? Because you can DE them whenever you want to. The amount of dust doesn't lower so a golden Mountain Giant is simply 400 dust in storage. You can see it as a bankaccount; there's no point in withdrawing your money if your not going to spent it (this is a bit flawed but you get the idea).
