remember guys that it usually takes hours to send out all the emails, so be patient !
I feel like I just tell myself this so the sting doesn't hurt as much though. I know it's true, but man, so many people want in. Still got my fingers crossed. :D.

I don't think I'll be getting a key but maybe I will.
Trying to not have my hopes up because hope is the first step in the road of disappointment.

Take a turn, then your friend takes a turn at a later point, etc , play a match with your friend taking turns during your lunch break at work, then come home and finish on your PC at home. Many successful mobile apps use these type of gameplay, look at Ascension, Words with friends, Frozen synapse, etc.
Also many mobile games you don't want to have to stare at the screen when it's not your turn, that's why there is probably an easy to read log on the side of the screen depicting exactly what happened during your opponents turn.
Of course instants/the stack are fun and extremely competitive, and the best when your trying to go for a game where skill is the best, but we do have MTG, I don't see why this game can't remain the way it is now, it looks super fun, and user friendly, newb friendly, etc
More interaction is always nice, but they could develop new mechanics or new keywords that promote interactions/ways to outplay your opponent without bringing in instants/interactions that would ruin asynchronous games for themselves.
EDIT: THat "turns are 15 seconds" card pretty much ruins this whole post though, so wtf blizzard. I don't think the 15 second turn ruins it. You do afterall have a time limit once you start your turn. Turn game on, enter into existing match, timer starts. Still works with the asynchronous game play, just that you are given a time limit to do your actions before it gets submitted to the opponent as your turn.

you realize Europe beta hasn't started yet right? if your account is located on EU then you have to wait at least "a few weeks" to be eligible to play

no and I feel retarded for having wasted so much time F5'ing, posting, entering in retarded giveaways that make you like/post on 4 social media facebooks to give you a < 0.1% chance

I love ccg/tcg and I'm excited to play this.

If it's any consolation, it seems only FB sweepstake winners have been reporting keys, not opt-in winners yet.

and afaik, although it's possible to get a key hour/s later, it's not likely? not sure about this but i think like over 90% of the keys should be sent immediately :/

No way on earth 90% of the opt-ins have been sent yet, or there would be faaaaar more posts about it.

Does anyone know how many invites are sent out through their opt-in wave? Is there a source that gives at least a rough estimation?

@TheTenthDoc you are probably right
no source afaik or it'd be known. but using logic + basic understanding of beta/server load + knowledge of previous game's beta waves, it's probably in the low thousands. anywhere from 1,000 to 5,000 if we're lucky. if we're really lucky maybe 10,000 but that seems unlikely to let that many in to the server at once. they did say that today would be a "larger" wave but nothing huge. larger to me sounds like about double the last wave, which i don't think was that big. plus there are a few people who are on reserved key lists from blizzard's friends and family keys (each member gets 2 keys to give to friends and family i think), and those keys are sent out in the same waves as us plebians. and they get priority. though that's a small fraction probably
