I believe when it was firsted announced last year they said they were working on the PC and ios versions (youll even notice how playing cards is very drag and drop as if made for touch devices). no word on Android.

Someone from Blizz said that they will support Hearthstone as an esport if there's demand for it, I think it only depends if the tournament scene grows enough (viewers and prize pool).
So far now I havent heard of a observe match option, but they can add that later.

Yeah, there's no reason they can't add eSport support to it later if the demand is there. Granted, Blizzard is terrible at giving their games eSports support compared to other well known developers, but they definitely have the power to do it. If, after release, there are several hundred thousand concurrent players and thousands of people watching streams of tournaments and good players, Blizzard could definitely monopolize on it and I would expect them to.
In terms of the actual complexity of the game, that's the beauty of CCG's. The game is as complex as the cards available to the players and the imagination of those players. The fact that you can't play cards on your opponents turn, as of now, definitely detracts from the mind games compared to something like MTG, but other than that the ruleset is pretty competitive.

I think they won't add any mechanics that can be played on your opponents turn. The game is very fast paced and fluid because you can only play on your own turn and i think they want to keep it that way. They can add different kind of mechanics to increase the complexity of the game.

I think they should give more options other than having a ton of minions, like artifacts and enchantments on MTG. Not necessarily copying anything, just finding other things to diversify from minions.

there are allready the secrets that basically affect an opponent in-turn.
They could always expand on that without the need to actually be able to play cards on an opponents turn.

were invites already sent out for today?

Keeping the current mechanics is actually pretty important if they are going after the mobile market, since you can play games using the asynchronous games method. Take a turn, then your friend takes a turn at a later point, etc , play a match with your friend taking turns during your lunch break at work, then come home and finish on your PC at home. Many successful mobile apps use these type of gameplay, look at Ascension, Words with friends, Frozen synapse, etc.
Also many mobile games you don't want to have to stare at the screen when it's not your turn, that's why there is probably an easy to read log on the side of the screen depicting exactly what happened during your opponents turn.
Of course instants/the stack are fun and extremely competitive, and the best when your trying to go for a game where skill is the best, but we do have MTG, I don't see why this game can't remain the way it is now, it looks super fun, and user friendly, newb friendly, etc
More interaction is always nice, but they could develop new mechanics or new keywords that promote interactions/ways to outplay your opponent without bringing in instants/interactions that would ruin asynchronous games for themselves.
EDIT: THat "turns are 15 seconds" card pretty much ruins this whole post though, so wtf blizzard.

They haven't been sent out yet due to some unforseen circumstances

Hoping to one, seeing as blizzard removed me from their cool kids list

Wonder if the facebook giveaway is also being postponed...

I've watched some beta streams and 30 life just seems like to much for me. Games last to many turns. It could be because the card pool hasn't matured but when nl_kripp can consistently win with decks with stupidly steep mana curves I'm disheartened.

Honestly, it really depend on the game and the level of the players. Some decks with just a tiny bit of luck ( not much ) can kill you in less than 10 turns. Even as early as turn 5.

I think most people would argue the opposite. I personally think it's fine (balance of life/cards).
Keep in mind majority of streamers are playing far from optimally. For example some just outright forget to attack (for free damage/no trade involved). Most still haven't figured out how to draft, much less order, priority, and value of a card.
