How do you get yourself eligible for the wave on Tuesday? I just finished updating my beta preferences, updating my mail adress. any other steps? And what about the facebook giveaway, what is that ?
Honestly tournaments at this point aren't all that interesting, unless both players have access to a similar size card pool it's going to be a stomp. An arena tournament would be really cool too watch though.

I'm not 100% sure, but the Tuesday invite beta wave should be for USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand and Peru. So you would need an US battlenet account for the chance at a BetaKey.

I've played other TCG (some for years) and this game looks fairly interesting. Regarless of pros/cons I'd recommend you to watch a stream, it's the best way to undestard if you will like it or not. You can find some streams already on this thread for filling in your curiosity. Here you can pick some SC2 commentators playing HSO:
Hey guys, was gonna make a blog for this but figure until its more established might just post link here, made a hearthstone vLog + more to come, also I will do a giveaway in the next week randomly when streaming(unsure what day atm) hopefully.

I've been watching some videos of this and it seems really shallow compared to MtG or Scrolls. How does it compare to these two games in terms of complexity?

It's deliberately designed to be more shallow and accessible. If you're looking for the complexity of magic you'll be disappointed.
Like most card games, there is usually a pretty clear right play (of course, there are corner cases where you are making percentage plays in any card game), just hearthstone is much easier to see the correct play and usually your hero pidgeonholes you into making a play anyways.
Draft seems interesting, though most of the times one card will be much better than the other two. Hopefully it will be more balanced, I feel like draft is stuck in the trap of printing too much 3+ 'mana cost' cards.
Arena is easier once you figure out how to draft, just prioritize value cards and the 2-5 drop making sure you have plenty of 6-7+ drops for late game.
Removal isn't worth that much, it's a 2 for 1 trade(2 your cards for 1 of theirs) most times as most removal doesn't kill everything so it's still a 2 for 1 rarely 1 for 1 or ideally 1 for 2+, i rather have 2 creatures then 1 spell and 1 creature.
Only Aoe, esp good aoe 3+ damage, guaranteed removal (removal from any board position(Execute is crap it's nearly always 2 your cards for 1 guy and the big guy you want to kill often have board control so you can't even 2 for 1)) or removal that disables (sheep hex) or dual purpose like fireball that can go to the face is worth a spot, but not that many I only run about 3-4 removal spells even less if the good ones aren't coming around. In arena you can bet on them not having aoe or good aoe
Just more and more creatures wins, if you can throw down 3+ power consistently starting turn 2 you'll win. It doesn't even have to be taunt or special abilities just power threatens enough to force them to spend cards to take out your guys.
Don't commit more then 3 creatures on the field unless you're playing a hero that's unlikely to have the aoe, if you try to get mostly 3+ toughness guys then against anyone but Mage you can commit as much as you want, But in general it's good to hold a few lower cost cards so you can throw down 2 guys if they do aoe.
If you have the guys to always curve out 2-5 till you can start throwing down 6+ it overwhelms most is the kind of curve you want heavy 2-5 but still plenty of 6+ creatures.

It seems like he makes at least one airheaded decision each game. :| Either running out of time or forgetting to attack with a card. He just did it twice in one game and lost because of it.
I don't think you can call "forgetting to attack" an airheaded decision. Lol..
Anyways. After playing around a bit, I've decided to completely ignore constructed play and just focus on Arena games. Seems the "fairest" to me, although there's quite a bit of luck involved since you don't pass the packs around.
But meh, I wished they can make it easier to play constructed without paying. Playing against someone who spams boosters makes my deck feels gimped if I didn't pay a single cent.

Play the dragon that limits turns to 15 seconds, super hard counter to Trump :p

This is the running joke for almost all streamers. I've yet to see it live though. Pretty sure it would be funny to watch.

That's because lots of people like Kripp, but PoE basically looks the same for 6 months.
