It is bothering me so much that I can't get 70. I probably got 67- 69 twelve times by now.
So we know your APM - what's your WPM? - Page 12

78 WPM here (85-7) for errors. It's not that great, but there are two things to consider. 1. I never learned how to type properly, despite owning one of those games that's supposed to teach you how. I'm a touch typist. I use my index fingers to type, and my ring finger to hit the shift key for caps. I guess I've gotten to a pretty decent speed because I've been doing it so long. I'm on my old laptop. I had to send in my new one for repairs, so I'm on this old one. It's a little larger, and has those old-fashioned beys (mechanical?), while my new one has nice little chiclet ones (or whatever they're called). My damn shift key is a little off. ![]()

Only 39 right now. ![]() You might be slowing yourself down by taking time to finish a word before acknowledging the next. I perform better on the tests when I read a word, begin to type, and then read the next word while typing the current. This leads itself to a more free flowing feel. That or even reading an entire sentence then reciting it as your own words. I scored a range of 65-100 taking all the different test types. Errors ranging from 0-5.

What tronix said is key. Learning to read slightly ahead of your typing will definitely boost your speed.

134 WPM - 9 Errors. I was able to consistantly hit 130-132 a year or so ago, but I've done less typing and more making roaches since I've started playing SC2 and graduated from High School and started college. Although I gotta tell you, when I took my writing I and writing II class, and I"d wait to do a 7 page paper the day it's due, I'm sure my WPM was way way up there, lol. EDIT - Will update with proof as soon as I feel like doing it again ![]() EDITEDIT - Here's Proof. Wanted to hit 130, oh well. ![]() EDITEDITEDIT - Link to full size for the naysayers (OH ITS TO BLURRY YOUR A LIAR - Get over it D<) http://postimage.org/image/6tmn0b005/full/

furthermore english has less "weird" letters, so its harder to type in languages where you have öäü or éà and stuff like that.

200APM if I'm practicing regularly, as low as 120APM if I'm rusty.

Why do people keep complaining about the punctuation? It's part of typing. The test isn't to see how fast you can txt lk dis 2 ur frndz. >.> Nice score, btw. Quite good.

Yeah, I think it's a little off too. I have a friend who's a secretary and types at something like 130 and complains that she thinks she's too slow compared to other people. I on the other hand type at a comfortable 70 words per minute. Go me!
