130 WPM with 100% accuracy the first time. Tried a couple more times and got slightly higher gross WPM but made errors - each time my adjusted WPM was exactly 130!

I AM a professional typist and so many people here can type as fast or faster than me - I obviously need to step it up (especially after Cataclysmical calls his 143 WPM "mildly disappointing")!

1) 131 100% accuracy (enchanted type writer)
2) 140 97% -- 136 adjusted (test instructions -- lol ran out of text to write..)
3) 136 97% -- 132 adjusted (Dorothy)

on my laptop. I recall scoring 140+ on a test like 2-3 years ago so I think I'm plateauing here at 130-140; not sure why. I think that test was only common words though, not punctuation so that could explain it. Still, I used to get 110-120 about 1-2 years before that, so my progress, if any, has definitely slowed down.

Probably to get much faster than the 130-140 range would require some special training for me. Ah well.

135ish, 140 on a good day here. Probably about average among people whove been playing RTS for a decade+

Then again, I was able to hit 140 when I was in 8th grade, so its stayed the same since before I started playing competitively - probably just from growing up with nothing but the internet for fun lol

114 words, 595 characters per minute.... which is funny since my APM in sc2 is about 60. : P

Edit: And I practiced a couple of times before I got that result.. I'm not gonna be a smug douche like the other guys in the thread and say that typing fast is EZ NO PROBLEM FIRST TRY MAN.

As a typical student with no practice outside of chat/essays and the like, I can hit 115 WPM on passages with larger portions of commonly used words and not too much punctuation; no training besides initially learning to type. Not bad for somebody who doesn't actively practice or try to improve etc, but honestly it's not too quick.

I'm not talking about typing like that. It's about interpretation. When you're reading the text that you're writing, you have to interpret what's written, which delays your typing. If you see a word and it's got quotation marks, that slows you down, especially when you're trying to type as fast as possible. When you're typing like this, just writing a post and you know what you're typing because it's in your head, punctuation is no issue. For a WPM test, it seems counterproductive to include punctuation in there.

Or maybe I'm just dumb.

I type about half as fast as I did when I played MMOs.

WPM like 100 or whatever on these stiff ass Cherry Blacks.

APM for sc2 is aprox 190-250 depending on the game.

Damn lol. Though it seems he stopped posting after his 10k post? i'm trying to see if that's true, or maybe he asked to get banned or something lol

he apparently had 23 bans total, 5 being "perm" bans o.o so I guess permanent bans can be repealed or something?

Anyways, 10,000 posts apparently isn't enough to stop TL from banning you (nuke means "perm" banned right?) nor cutting you enough slack from banning you ^^ then again, i'm already at 7xxx, nearing 10,000 soon heheh.

I've been having fun with this. My left hand has been feeling a bit sluggish recently in games. So i've been doing the speedtest lefthand only. Yes that even means holding shift down and pressing a button with my left hand only and if i make a mistake using my left hand to hit backspace.

Its kinda fun and i'm at 34 WPM with just left hand.
