Does it seem like good male vocals are harder to come by? -_-. I know the artists you mention and like most of them, but my style is more psychill like the previously posted once upon a sea of blissful awareness. First two are this style then more normal. Youtube quality is crap but try them out. + Show Spoiler + http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vc4bSclckyA

Morcheeba already mentioned, is great. Blue states - Your Girl seems to fit DJ Mehdi - Lucky boy (outlines remix) - not exactly chillout but one of my favourites lately Hooverphonic - this strange effect Lamb - Trans fatty acid (Kruder and Dorfmeister mix) - highly recommended You could try a few Nina Simone tracks off Verve Remixed albums Sarah McLachlan - Dirty Little Secret from Thievery Corporation: Versions Thievery Corporation - Beautiful Drug, Sweet Tides, and lots more - these guys are incredible some stuff from Tosca might suit you, or Zero 7 If you like any of this I can post more, these are the most prominent female vocal tracks I think, but I have a fair amount of chill music.

It has to do with the voice change during puberty, and that as a result, males are a lot more insecure about singing. Also, there is a social stigma about being a male singer, as if it somehow makes you more feminine. Even though you think this wouldn't be true, given the fact that so many famous male sex symbols are singers, it is...just go to any American high school and see which guys join the choir. I was in choir throughout high school, and I still sing acappella in college, so I know the difficulty in trying to find decent guys who can sing. In the UCLA Chorale (the uppermost choir at UCLA), which I was a part of, I think 80% of the tenor section were gay.

The sets themselves are exactly what you're seeking for. Hell, they're even named 'beautiful voices'. That, and they're readily downloadable through his website, mdbmixes. There are many mixes, from which some are way better than the others, but I figure that's a matter of taste so I wont stray the discussion with my own opinions regarding the best ones, try them out and enjoy. edit: can't spell.
