I guess the movie wasn't bad, but i can't say neither the acting, the CGI, or the plot appealed much to me. I wonder what would have happened if the director would have picked a clear theme for the movie instead of doing a little bit of everything. Make it about something, instead of everything. Some zombie movies go for gore, other for the feeling of dread and hopelessness. and others go for the troubled protagonist that escapes to safety. I guess this happens when you stuff all three into 90 minutes.

Goddamn. I'm don't care about thoser little plotholes like that though, because it's a zombie movie. Suspension of Mental faculties is somewhat of a requirement for enjoying a hollywood movie nowadays. I was commenting about why i thought it was a very "ok" movie, because it tries to do a little of everything. I still somewhat liked but that could have been the chocolate talking. I like chocolate.

This is by far the biggest thing I hate about Zombie/Infected movies. Especially at the end how easy they break down his lab door. It goes flying... I just don't get how a virus could mutate a human body to be able to have such super feats of strength and agility. At least on other movies such as these, the zombies don't have powers like that. Good Examples; 28 days/weeks series: The infected are pretty much human, except they're pumped with adrenalin which allows them to run fast as hell and posses slightly higher strength than a normal person. (Which is completely plausible.) Dawn of the Dead - Remake (Best Zombie movie ever by the way): They are pretty much normal, other than the fact they are the living dead. Bad Example; Planet Terror: This was just made to be cheesy as shit, so the zombies super human strength is acceptable. I just don't like zombie flicks where they get super strength it's just stupid. The human body cannot do half the shit that the infected could do.

I read the book a while back and just saw the movie. I know I shouldn't have expected the two to be similar but still, so disappointed. The ending of the book is great and this...is just lame. So Hollywood.

+ Show Spoiler + Well, she said she is from Ireland (I think? or I heard wrong) and she heard the radio transmission from Neville. So it's really weird how she can find a boat and travel across the Atlantic and finding the exact pier where he waits. no, she said she's from virginia or some other state (forgot which) lol. she didn't travel across the atlantic. ![]() wtf is the point of the deer/hunting of deer? meat goes bad. why didnt he know about the survivor colony? maybe denial? maybe he just didnt' hear about it. why are will smith's reflexes so slow he didnt step back after the car started to tilt? he was in a craze. where the fuck did he get that shelby gt500 i want that car so bad im sure he had access to every car in nyc. why did the dog die to save will. ![]() why didnt he just lock up his dog till he had the cure? his dog helps, as we saw in the previous q. why did 5.4 billion people die to the cure for cancer? shouldnt only the people who had cancer have died? the virus mutated and jumped from the cancer having people to the non cancer having people. it was airbourne, and so everyone except those with immunity died. Okay so I seen this movie on opening day. I was greatly disappointed. I got home and was thinking about the movie... when it hit me. How in the hell did the woman the kid make it to the island exactly? Let alone leave it with a vehicle. The island was sealed off remember? boat / ferry from new jersey. or maybe tunnel with high beams during the day. ![]()

A lot of the above questions can be answered with simple logic. Has the average age of TL.net readers decreased? Serious question.

And I think I figured out something terrible about the dog's death: She didn't have to die. Will smith gave her (the dog's a her) the antidote and she started acting crazy (like the lady), so he thought it was hopeless and killed her. Then we find out later it actually just takes time for the antidote to work, so really if Will Smith would have just sedated the dog it would have eventually been ok. At least thats the way i figured it...sucks to know about that though.

the fight scenes are too sick :D granted some scenes are pretty cliche, but nonetheless, a blessing to the eye

At least thats the way i figured it...sucks to know about that though. He lost faith when all his experiments failed. Also he got the idea of using ice cubes to speed up the cure after the dog died. The dog had to die so it creates character development since Neville had to live long enough until the end.
