Review: I Am Legend, 3 of 5 stars - Page 10

Like most people mentioned, the first half to two/thirds of it was pretty good, and Will's acting overall was solid. The last bit, while still maintaining some good scenes, felt relatively half-assed in comparison.

Grrr...

I'm tired as hell now, but I can't go to sleep because I keep thinking about that damned scene with the dog. ;_;

I saw this movie, I heard many reviews that it was a bad movie and full of cliche action. Boy was I wrong. This movie owned.

She is from Sao Pablo, and resided in Maryland. I really thought he was gonna bone her at one point or another

Yeah, my friend thought the same thing. He's like "man, if I've been alone for 3 years I would bang the first girl I see". Did they really say she's from Sao Pablo, Brazil? I remember in the I Am Legend comics (it's on the movie site and it was made to create hype for the movie) the disease was first treated in South America and Africa. Also I think she mentioned that she was on a medical ship with survivors, but it soon got overrun by the infected and she escaped to Maryland.

I didn't like the ending at all. It was too sudden. Not enough drama, not enough firepower, etc. I guess they kept a bit of "real" in it by going for something like that, because it's nice to see good guys die in movies, but I didn't think his character reached full potential.

Also, what about the "thinking" zombies? The leader of the pack, not much emphasis on that either. He's smart enough to imitate a complex trap but then again he just bashes his head through a window instead of using one of the other mindless zombies to do it.

I don't know, there are loose ends to it, but other than that it was a pretty decent movie. It just surprised me because I was hoping for at least 30 minutes more.

The ending just made me angry. I thought he was going to be come some legendary vampire hunter, not sacrifie himself in the end

lol... you are thinking of the book ending where he gets killed by vampires and becomes a legend because he killed so many vampires. In the movie ending, it's the other way around since he saves humanity instead of going out and killing vampires. The movie is more of a remake of The Omega Man.

The first 2/3 ruled. The first 2/3 stayed true to the original.

Then, Hollywood cliches kicked in.
