The cancellation of the grain deal was expected anyway. It's not perfect, the capacity is not quite there yet and we'll still have price hikes but this will hit the middle east and Africa a lot harder. Actually, about that: https://t.me/ChDambiev/24604?single Shahed drone attacks on Reni river port on Danube.

It's unclear whether the cathedral was targeted or just hit by a stray missile. Obviously Russia is not interested in conducting ethical war, so maybe the inaccuracy of the strikes is a feature rather than a bug.

Well, Zelensky claimed that missile hitting the cathedral was an Kh-22. Now you can compare the damage in Kremenchug plant and trade center from last year being hit by the same missiles and the damage to the cathedral. It would have just leveled the place.

A lot of Northern German cities consist basically entirely of buildings built in the 50s, except for the churches.

There’s also a question mark over what Russia will do in response. Bakhmut stands as their only achievement since the first months of the war. At the start of the war they took a lot of ground in lightening strikes and then in the following months took more by expending decades of accumulated Soviet artillery shells. Since the rationing of artillery started and HIMARS kicked in they have taken exactly one city, Bakhmut, and lost several others. If they cannot hold Bakhmut then the writing will be on the wall for all to see. That may lead to more of the same costly and futile attempts to defend that we’ve seen elsewhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if Russia senselessly commits large amounts of reserves to the defence of Bakhmut to avoid the loss of public face.

Yeah, China gonna China, klepto-capitalism gonna klepto-capitalism. But there’s a huge cap between Chinese corporations selling dual use shit under the table to enrich themselves and the way the west is supporting Ukraine. Ukraine’s allies say “tell us what you need and if we can we’ll get it for you free of charge”. By that benchmark China is no ally of Russia.

Thoughts on this then? or tldr : "The attack on the Odessa Transfiguration Cathedral ( 46°28'59.09"N / 30°43'52.94"E) on July 23rd was most likely performed by a Kaliber cruise missile with a ~450 kilogram warhead"

Other than being in the Southeast, there isn't too much other information coming out just yet. We'll see how well they can get through the minefields since the spearhead needs to penetrate 20-30km through multiple lines before it's able to advance more freely.
