Not really, it just strikes me as incredibly moronic to post a video that disproves a claim he made in the same post. There isn't any substance to put any thought into in the first place.

It's doubly stupid, because with pulling out of Syria, the two people winning (winning, the thing Trump is, self-proclaimed, really good at) are Erdogan and, surprise, Putin. So even if Romney was right (which he wasn't), there's still that tidbit that shows how idiotic Trump is acting by doing what every Trumpet is cheering for.

Like i don't get these levels of stupidity.

He is here for cheap one liners and video dumps.

Not for the next 30 days he isn't, apparently he was banned for this exact video already 2 years ago. Stable genius.

On track to MA1950A.

So this means the government can't start back up until at least January when we get a better Congress right?

At least until Monday. By January the Republicans might be winning to override a veto.

By January it would be too late for Republicans to override a veto because unless the House votes to put the Senate bill through today the president can just pocket veto the measure and the process will have to start all over again in a new congress.

So the US special presidential envoy for the Global Coalition to Defeat IS resigned due to Trumps decision.

Which is not weird since just this month he said:
"We want to stay on the ground and make sure that stability can be maintained in these areas."

He went on to say: "It would be reckless if we were just to say, well, the physical caliphate is defeated, so we can just leave now. I think anyone who's looked at a conflict like this would agree with that."

Now Trump on twitter saying it doesn't matter, he because he never knew him

That's quite the self diss seeing that he probably, you know.... should've known him while dealing with the Syria decision?

fucking deep state, always thinking ahead and placing Obama lackeys in position before Obama was even there /s

His wiki says he even got a Distinguished Honor Award from Condoleezza Rice lol. Typical Obama partizan.

His wiki also confirms this is really a person you should know when making decisions about Syria/ISIS, he's been working on the ground in Iraq/Syria, organising cooperation between all the different parties for years

Meanwhile the SP500 dropped 18%. About $5,000,000,000,000 in investor funds lost as the markets lose faith in Trump.

The S&P is still up a hair from the day Trump took office. I have a little bit of trouble blaming Trump for the recent losses when folks were happy to completely ignore Trump to achieve 2016-2017 gains. It was completely predictable that Trump would not be a good thing for the economy long-term and that will continue to reveal itself into the years well after the end of his presidency. To be fair, the same thing is true for his Republican predecessor, and arguably for several before that.

Dude, it went into freefall on the day the gov shutdown became inevitable. I’m not saying it’s all on him, the president doesn’t have that much power, but he was the pin that popped it this time. He wasn’t responsible for the over inflation, nor for the correction, but he did trigger events.

Yes, although I think a large part of that 18% drop happened well before it was clear a gov shutdown was going to happen.

To be clear I offer no actual defense of Trump.

It's how a speculation based market works. It's ups and downs. The US has been pretty up for the past 10 years, the fed feels comfortable reigning in interests rates, the speculators start to pull money out as a reaction because they see that as a possible turning point and want to avoid losses over more potential gain.

Partial shutdown of the government does play a role, despite what US conservatives think about the government they are a major player in the economy. If the government doesn't spend it doesn't mean other sources will spend in their place, spending is what drives the economy first and foremost. So even a smaller subsection and temporary reneg of part of that spending is enough for cause disruptions.

Don't think you can completely ignore the combination of inflated stocks from tax-break buybacks, cancelled international trade deals, and tariffs hurting your own markets.

New day, new drama. Mattis is gone next week now, replaced by the deputy Shanahan. Trump reportedly didn't really understand the extent of criticism in Mattis resignation letter but got triggered by the news following the resignation letter.

Aides said that the president was furious that Mr. Mattis’s resignation letter — in which he rebuked the president’s rejection of international allies and his failure to check authoritarian governments — had led to days of negative news coverage. Mr. Mattis resigned in large part over Mr. Trump’s hasty decision to withdraw American forces from Syria.

When Mr. Trump first announced that Mr. Mattis was leaving, effective Feb. 28, he praised the defense secretary on Twitter, saying he was retiring “with distinction.” One aide said that although Mr. Trump had already seen the resignation letter when he praised Mr. Mattis, the president did not understand just how forceful a rejection of his strategy Mr. Mattis had issued.

Trump also calls the Syria pullout highly coordinated...after he called Erdogan again.

100% he didn't read the letter.

And the rollback of the withdrawal has begun. The withdrawal was always going to be a complicated affair involving clandestine allies, frenemy states like Turkey, jihadists, and swarms of starving and sick refugees. Trump never had the attention span to read even the talking points they prepared for him to read to Erdogan, let alone sit through the meeting necessary to to talk a general into running this operation. I guess Donald is going to fully delegate the whole thing to Turkey? He doesn't have the staff or connections with enough generals to execute his whims.

+ Show Spoiler +

EDIT: and lol at Donald not knowing what was in Mattis's resignation letter until someone on FOXNFRIENDS explained it to him. The letter was only 1.5 pages and only 2 paragraphs of it held all the substance, but Donald could[n't] get enough addy up his nose to finish even those few paragraphs.

Trump attacking the fed again. I think every tweet with the word "fed" makes the Dow sink 50 points.
