Half of the games between gosus getting decided by the map = ghey

Boxer is probably the best player overall, but not that much better than the rest, a lot of players can beat him. Funny last year all his important games vs toss users were on JS, this year decent luck (I hope only luck) with maps too

Great play under pressure by Boxer though, I am far more impressed by his performance this year than last year where he had a bit too much luck with maps/strats.

U fuckin idiots, first, they pick a random WCG map, 2nd, why is it 1 game? bcuz yellow was in loser brackets and he needed to beat boxer 2 times, and boxer only need to beat yellow 1 game. BOXER IS THE BEST

The problem Tassadar is that the selection that the random map comes from has a number of very poor maps in it.

Boxer is the best yeah, but that doesn't mean the maps didn't have an influence in all kinds of matches.

First map they played was Char - a map that doesn't favours terran in tvz.
Second map was Valhalla, a balanced map. Maybe in 2-3 years people will finally realise that Valhalla it's a fair map, not a protoss or terran one.
Don't get me wrong, I wanted Yellow to win this.

Don't forget BoxeR also defeated (well... crushed) YellOw on Legacy of Char, and this one really is a Zerg map.

So BoxeR beat him twice, once on a Zerg-favoured map, then once on a Terran(/Protoss)-favoured map (some ppl find it balanced though). I think this is pretty much fair overall.

He just deserved to win.

Lost Temple is just a popular map. LT is really boring and the luck factor is high also. And you can do plenty more strats/tactics on other maps than LT.
I am glad they didn't play LT.

In my opinion then legacy of char is the same as lost temple only with all the start positions being equal, lost temple sucks. Also... no need to flame people and spam on this site, it's not broodwar.com

Muhweli, it wasn't BO3 last year ^_^ It just kinda seemed that way because Boxer met Elky in Winners' final and then right after in the Winner's/Loser's final after Elky defeated Gorush in Loser's Final(didn't have to face him in first round of double elim like he did Yellow this year ^^'). And two years ago there was a Bo5 between Boxer and Slayer, but I that was exhibition I think. Gorush was the winner of WCG 2000 I believe. I think Boxer hadn't really arrived on the SC scene until after WCG qualifiers for that year were over, and I think Slayer was there for KBK at the time, so they thought it would be a nice lil exhibition event ^^ Confirmation on this, Mensrea or Waxangel? And thirdly, one of the greatest matches between Boxer and Yellow was on Vahalla(Game 1 of Coca Cola, that 55 minute classic ^_^). And up until this point, Yellow crushed all his terran opponents on Vahalla, both here, and the korea prelims, so I think people were anticipating another classic. Just a shame it didn't happen.

But congrats to Boxer ^^ Hope he is still on SC next year to try for a 3rd ^_^
