Edit: I was thinking Carlsen 27. Rg3... 28. Qxh6. Basically 99% of the people who claim certain position is a draw or a win for one of the players do the following: turn on their chess engine, wait 1 minute, see the evaluation, post on the internet. So what do you think mdb, any chance Topalov could be the next challenger? At least he qualified for the Candidate tournament. Does he still have what it takes?

Vishy's knight looks rather misplaced to me. And just as I write, computer says Anand committed another major blunder. +1.63 on chessbomb (stockfish).

Heh, just tuned in. Apparently, Vishy continues the trend of making dubious Queen moves.
Even Magnus twitched in disbelief upon ...Qg5.

I think that he is the only one that can "take down Sauron".

The current trend in chess seriously favors cautious players with resourceful positional style. Unfortunately...

Topalov recent form is very good (few days ago he won best score on 1st board on european championship), but I dont think he has what it takes to be challenge the world title once again. He had to win when he played in Sofia vs Anand, but now I think its too late for him.
Cant see Nakamura winning over Carlsen. I really hope Kramnik is the next challenger.

I was like "A draw is enough for Carlsen, WTF is he doing", then I realized it was Anand who was playing the black pieces.

Off-topic: Why isnt there the melody amber tournament anymore? They mentioned it yesterday.

And Nakamuras explanations why he is far better despite losing would probably be funny.

With all this talk about the next challenger, keep in mind that the field for the next candidates tournament is already determined, and Nakamura isn't in it. So 2 years at least, but maybe most of you were talking about the not-so-near future anyway.

Somedays I think he is a dick, some I really like him. Not sure about this guy. Rooting for Kramnik or Aronian!
