Maybe the Brexit vote shouldn't have been decided through a simple majority to begin with, is it really surprising that there's going to be a political aftermath if you make a decision like this which practically half of the population opposes?

Yeah. It's almost as if it wasn't thought through at all.

If it went the other way then more than half would be unhappy.

The time to complain about this was before the vote. In the aftermath it's just saltiness about the result being the undesired one. Which is something the EU has a pretty consistent habit of doing.
History will sooner or later sweep the European Union away without mercy.

Their manifesto has gone down pretty well as far as I can see, but yeah that front page is pretty funny. Its a shame that for about 50% of the population this type of stupid joke will determine how they vote, not the content of the manifesto.

Here's another good front page:

It's hard to take the Sun and Daily mail seriously in context of their top says. At least the Daily mail talks about the manifesto, instead of treating politicians like some sort of reality tv celebrity. It's rather curious though. Renationalising railways and The Royal Mail; the Daily Mail was totally against their privatisation in the first place? So it's rather curious that now they are against renationalising them. It's a shame about Lib Dem. They had a real second shot at being the third party, but they fluffed it.

Seems like a real good way to get on a terror watchlist real fast. Which is what they should actually threaten them with. "This is considered an act of cyber terrorism unless you decrypt in 24 hours. If not you are a terrorist and its not the police coming after you. You are not up against the police, you are up against MI5 and all allied agencies including the NSA and they are operating under terror laws. We will find you and when we do the SAS will kick down your door and shoot you in the head."

Wait. $300 of Bitcoin? NHS funding is worse than I thought.

the NHS wasn't really the main focus of the attack. They just have terrible IT and also got hit. By far most infections were in Russia, Ukraine and Taiwan.

Yeah I think that's obvious from the screenshot and the price. If they are smart hackers they will remove it from NHS systems and get some good press.

A map by RT of known infections:

I'm briefly wondering if it would be cheaper for some organizations to pay the ransom than to find a way to remove it. Gotta say this is ever so clever in its design.

Edit: Word on the street is that it's an NSA-derived exploit.

More insane authoritarian legislation from this government. Criminalizing dissent is very dangerous and arrogant, this can't be allowed to stand.

On the other hand, you have the Labour election team headed by someone who left the Communist party in December to join Labour. But trust them when they tell you they don't know what you mean by Trotskyite entryism.

Not really. I agree with you. May and the conservatives in general are far too authoritarian for my liking. They have passed all sorts of stupid and intrusive legislation. Unfortunately there's no real liberal party, just a few MPs within the conservatives and the Liberal Democrats.
