That said, both have genuine crap-in-your-pants moments, but I'd say SH games focus more on story and atmosphere while RE games have a better grasp on gameplay. Hard to choose sometimes >_<. | ||

There is just something in RE 2 that keeps me playing it all the time, + some of the sound tracks of RE 2 just deserve OSCAR like the one in the hallway right after the sky tram trip and in mission B when ADA dies and LEON cries. Story wise - about RE a library can be written to cover every nook and cranny of the game. My advice is to play both, but if someone thinks that RE 2 isnt worth the time he just does not know why people fear of the DARK !!! | ||

Resident Evil 4 is to the other RE what war3 is to bw ....just to make a quick parallel because I think it's much worse in the case of RE4. It has ruined what was so special about the RE games and turned it into an average shooting game with nice graphics and a bad plot.
