I liked these shoes...but now that you guys are dissing them...I'm second guessing myself. What do you guys think of the pictures I posted of the square toe shoes? Are they nice or not? Kind of sad that you let other people's opinions affect you so much. They look fine. Wear what you're comfortable in.

When I was trying on dress shoes, I tried on some bostonians. They were really comfy, but I thought they had too much of a casual look to them because they weren't shiny enough. Also they were box toe which now I know are ugly. But comfort wise they were great.

It's not that i'm letting their opinions affect me. Rather its me learning what fashion do's and donts are. If style didn't matter, I would wear flip flops, but there is a certain code to follow to look good. I guess round toe shoes help you achieve this "look" as opposed to box toe which is fine. I just never knew about it.

1. I need a new coat and I mean a nice winter coat. I can't seem to find one and I'm trying to find one that is similar to fashionable coats that go around (banana republic peacock whatever coat, similar to that). 2. Will this hat ever be resold or remade for a cheaper price? + Show Spoiler + I can't find anywhere at all D: 3. Where can I get a good, cheap blazer? Casual style and nothing serious. I'm trying to go for that: professional looking but not overly-dressed. Also, any suggestions for outfits for a guy who's got scrawny arms? I can't wear t-shirts alone because they show too much of my arms and I have really scrawny/skinny arms ):. I usually wear a shirt over a v-neck sweater and roll the sleeves up (not based my elbow or around that area), but it gets a bit hot and such or the attire gets repetitive. Any help? (I also need to find new shoes and sneakers. I have these osiris mix shoes + Show Spoiler + and they're really cool, but 1. they feel like moon boots and become a bitch to walk around in. 2. they're starting to get holes so I need new sneakers and suitable shoes and 3. all my old jeans/pants are really baggy and long because I used to wear addidas style shoes, so they often cover the top part of the shoe making it look like I have big feet.

I like these types of jackets to dress up but not too formal. Soft structured, partially lined. Wish it didn't have flaps, oh well. Quality Japanese denim feels great. It feels more organic and really grows on you. I'm not a fan of strong contrast fades. Built to last.

Damn, I really liked these shoes, but after reading what everyone said about square toe shoes, I guess they aren't a good look. When I was at the store trying on shoes, I avoided all the round toe shoes because I thought the square toe shoes looked better. Guess not. You can't go wrong with black oxford cap-toe shoes. https://www.google.com/search?q=oxford cap-toe&hl=sv&rls=com.microsoft:sv:IE-Address&rlz=1I7ACAW_en&prmd=imvns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=AkclT-yoB7P44QTFmLj6DA&ved=0CD0QsAQ&biw=1366&bih=673

I wouldn't wear anything from them. Bright purple shirts, ridiculously tight trousers, shoes so pointy you can't bring them through airport security, I could go on. There's a reason why Aussies stock up on clothes when they go to the US. We don't even have H&M here. "David Myer" is not a store. I'm guessing you're confused between the 2 different stores David Jones and Myer. Both are known for stocking good quality brands but aren't cheap at all. $160 for a Ralph Lauren or Lacoste polo. Hmmm...I guess I only shopped there when there was a sale on, but I didn't notice any of the clothes being ridiculous. It reminded me of Express more than anything. That was 4~ years ago though. As for David Myer...whoops! In my mind though a decent pair of pants will be somewhere between $40 and $100 (USD) at full price, and a shirt somewhere between $30 and $60. Even though the Australian dollar is worth more right now the cost of living is just higher so add 10-15$ to those prices. I usually do all my clothes shopping at one time when there is a big sale on or I have a coupon. Many places offer a teacher/public servant (armed forces, fire, police, etc) discount that is pretty big so always ask if you are in one of those profession. I like www.bonobos.com as of late. They are on the expensive side but you can pretty much always get 20% off from one of their banner ads (and they have an amazing teacher discount ^_^). Their return/shipping policy is amazing.

- Avoid V-necks go crew neck instead. V- Necks they expose skinny features in the neck and collar bone -Layers are good - Thicker fabrics are good, like knitted wool instead of cashmere. Cords opposed to chions. - Wear spread opposed to pointed collars. 90% collars are some variation of pointed, you want spread it will give the appearance of a wider face. - Try SMALL shoulder pads in blazers and suit jackets. Don't go crazy here though. - Tailor Tailor Tailor

If not, I would recommend avoiding black and going for charcoal or navy instead. You could match those with a nice burgundy or dark brown oxford shoe for a really sharp look.

I would avoid Men's Wearhouse at all costs. If you're willing to make an investment in nice shoes, Allen Edmonds are the way to go. If you want something lower priced, Johnston & Murphy, Cole Haan, and Florsheim are pretty good.
