(beyond the usual materialistic and superficial want/needs) don't think you have a clue what you're talking about. you're implying the entire men's fashion market was motivated by the rise of (the acceptance of) homosexuality, but how in the world does that even explain the rich tradition that society has with the change in styles throughout centuries of history? frankly that's a pretty ignorant viewpoint. stylization of clothing has always been a vehicle for the expression of society's zeitgeist, much like a culture's predominant forms of art and music. at least, that's the philosophical answer. anyhow I think you just have a preconceived notion that caring about one's appearance is a feminine trait.

Help me fashion my wardrobe... my wardrobe is too old~ (haven't bought much clothes for a good 2-3 years so all my clothes are from high school and before) basically all t-shirts, jeans, cargo pants ![]() yeah and i got a buncha stories for you. #SLT is real.... camp report - i did wear athletic clothes 90% of the time... broke out linens for a few days, wore real pants once, wore denim once. life's so relaxing when you can wear compression shorts with ventilated crotches + netted swimming trunks freeball all day, jump in cold af lakes, chill in saunas, play volleyball.... (though the other half was some pretty heavy stuff). i still want all nike everything, but champion is will have to do till i can buy multiple drifit knit shirts. shoes suck, its all about rainbows and being barefoot. and y'all gonna hate me but i ordered some toms because i dont want to do research on beater summer plimsoles continuing my efforts to minimize my clothing (i'm almost down to 1 suitcase w/o shoes and winter stuff), all im buying this year is a new knit. so let me know how that black SNS goes even though i'd rather have a navy/grey/green mix. (also im spending my everlane credit so if you wanna give me free credit via referral let me know, also uniqlo bc socal and chicago are opening up stores) On August 03 2014 10:05 Advantageous wrote: ya that's my thought on men's fashion too... i think the market's "need" to accessorize/innovate men's fashion is simply because being gay is more and more open (nothing wrong with that) and, therefore, creating the "need" for the industry to have more variety. tbh, it doesnt really piss me off, but it does bother me what this society has come to: materialism. (beyond the usual materialistic and superficial want/needs) I dont see the association between sexuality (specifically, gender expression) and fashion.... materialism is real but fashion is and isn't that. its also an artform (both as self expression AND as creative pieces) and i think that by reducing it down to "oh clothes support materialism," not to put words in your mouth, you neglect it as a hobby. and by that logic every hobby becomes materialism or supporting some kind of agenda - you could easily argue that videogames are just a waste of time!

If i get wider shoulders I'd probably fit the large. these days i'm just tying up my hair in a ponytail. sold like 80% of my wardrobe too, only left with my grail pieces and a few basics + raf sweater + a bunch of shoes. amazing how many regretful purchased i've made, but at least i sold a bunch. XS drkshdw pod shorts coming in (will prob use them as gym shorts as the structured ones i have now are too stiff for the gym overall) as well as a toj ma-1. toj 2013 dr has passed 13 months. i need to buy a serger and sewing machine before august is over. life is hard.

I think I'm going to go with Vanson x Styleforum after seeing the prototype pics. It starts at 699 which is pretty reasonable. I hope the wait isn't as long as TOJ :D I'm just debating on whether or not I can pull it off -___-

Without a doubt the best mdr substitute (and to me it's more than a substitute, it's ideal) at a pretty insane price

If I was 5'11 (currently 5'9) these would be perfect. I did get them in a size S (mainline RO) but XS drkshdw ones are supposed to be coming in soon (probably next week?) They are substantially a lot nicer than any other shorts I've owned in terms of quality though - the construction on them is actually amazing when you flip em inside out and look at the lack of frayed hems and generally poor stitching found on a lot of cheaper shorts.
