I currently have one pair of casual shoes: DC skate shoes. I don't skate, but I like how skate shoes look. This pair is really old and almost unwearable now. I need a new pair of casual, everyday shoes and want something more "grown-up." I've read a lot of stuff suggesting loafers or boat shoes, but I have some reservations. Loafers: I can't seem to find a pair of loafers that I like. I like the convenience of having something you can just slip on, but I don't like the laceless look. They also don't seem casual enough. I went on eBay and just searched for "loafers" in the men's shoes category, looked through literally hundreds of items, and didn't see a single one that seemed sufficiently casual and appealing, unless they were boat shoes, but . . . Boat shoes: I'm really uncomfortable with the idea of wearing shoes without socks. Won't they get really disgusting after a while? Plus, let's say I go to somebody's house and take my shoes off. I'd rather not be barefoot most of the time. I really like the look of boat shoes, but this one thing holds me back. These are probably really silly issues, but perhaps somebody here could point me in the right direction. Thanks! | ||
