I never knew EDM fans were just as snobbish and ridiculous as jazz fans. Who cares if they're not redefining a genre every week or coming out with the latest "perfect" set. Sure, it sucks that a guy who basically produces tracks which ONLY feature big names of mainstream pop won the thing, but most of you are shitting on the entire list because one of your underground DJs didn't make the top100. Stop trying to make yourselves look like hipsters. -_-

The problem I have with this list is that people see it as "best" rather than "most popular", and there are huge financial rewards involved with getting a high rank.

If you have 3 million fans on facebook and ask them to vote for you, that doesnt make you a better DJ than the person with 20,000 fans - but it is reflected strongly in the list.

It hurts me deeply to see no John 00 Fleming or Digital Blonde in the list, compared to some of the names I see in the top 10.

top 100 isn't and hasn't been indicative of the current EDM scene for years now, it's treated as a popularity contest, it's used as a ladder of which money hungry promoters can pick from - it has nothing to do with actual talent. Not to mention it's widely known that votes are flooded by bots, it's just a useless list.
