I like relaxing music. Something I can put on and it can change my mood into just relax mode. I am always highly stressed ( no clue why it is just how I am ) so listening to love music and reggae and music like that really helps me.
Blind Melon is one of the best Hippie Bands to ever exist. Perhaps their most famous single being No Rain. I hope you all enjoy it.
There's a few of them, some of them based in nostalgia and others that just have to be listened to, the ones that are life changing and saving.
The most underrated group in history, and honestly I wouldn't have it any other way because their underground tracks are my secrets... But this song makes the list so here it is. Falls neatly into the life-saving category:
Have you ever seen a sound have you listened to an image have you every touched a thought have you ever tasted nothing have you ever told a lie that was true more than truth because truth had lied all its life when it spoke to you?
[EXPLANATION]This song we've all heard, but years ago, on one fateful night to remember, to this day also. Mother and Daughter, mother = drug addict and said that this song made her cry everytime because its how she felt about the way she was towards her daughter, and since my mother is the same, everytime i hear it i apply it in the voice of my mother to myself because I know this is how she feels but will never be able to express it. I love you mom!
I might be an EDM junkie, but boy do I love the more emotional sub-genres of metal. I went through a lot of house music, but I guess my contribution will be this :
It's not everyday music, but I think this list is not supposed to be played at anytime with your foobar/winamp on random - but is instead filled with gems. This is one fore sure
Yoko Kanno is an amazing composer. Just gotta add on the subject of cowboy bepop; This song is really short, has a really simple structure and induces so incredibly much nostalgia in me that I can barely handle it. I think it qualifies for the list.

Really?
Apparently there is a cult hatred of all that is Creed so, even though this thread has seen about every type of music possible, let me explain myself in the hopes that I don't see another troll thread about it again.
Let me start with something simple: just because you don't like a band doesn't mean it can't produce one or two great songs. Sure, Creed is a Christian rock band. But, the message this song conveys is a universal tale of happiness, blessing, and courage. I don't see why just because you're not Christian (I happen to be Agnostic, FYI) you can't appreciate both a) a good song with good chords and b) a beautiful underlying message.
My library happens to be full of just about everything - Skrillex, Mungo Jerry, The Who, Clint Mansell. Just about every type of music you could imagine. I picked the song not because it's super famous and timeless (I could easily pick, for instance, Stairway to Heaven - which two or three people have already posted) but because I feel everyone can relate to it.

I'm curious if you are/have been watching/listening to all the songs that have been posted. I know that most people who make these threads just wanna post some songs they like, I have that urge too sometimes, to share, but you seem to be following this and "taking notes".
So, yes, I know, that's Metal which means for most people stupid noise with horrendous vocals but please, give this song a chance because it's an absolute master piece of music in general. That's 13 minutes of the most incredible guitar work you'll probably ever hear in your life.
And if you have access to a better quality than Youtube (Spotify, etc), please do yourself a favor because this song deserves it
