For one thing, nobody thinks dead baby jokes are in good taste anyway, that's why nobody goes on TV and talks about dead babies. Also, it would be in EXTREMELY poor taste if someone made a dead baby joke about a particular person's situation, like if someone's baby was murdered and if someone on The View said "shouldn't have been a crybaby". | ||

I thought it was only feminists who got upset about irrelevant stuff, but apparently guys do too. Who gives a shit if comedians have said worse things? There is a huge difference between talking about something hypothetically and joking about it and laughing about something that ACTUALLY HAPPENED. If someone says they're going to cut their husbands balls off in a humorous, non-threatening way, i.e. just joking around, it's leagues different from a wife actually drugging her husband and chopping off his dick, and then people laughing about it. I never liked Sharon Osbourne and this certainly doesn't help her case. | ||

First of all, I find this to be a completely disgusting example of premeditated torture. The precision with which the woman committed the crime is a STRONG indication of fairly meticulous planning. The cruelty involved in this act is almost beyond my imagination. It is one thing to severe a person's genitalia, but then to completely destroy it while forcing the person to watch? That is above and beyond even the sickest standards of torture. I hope that justice is served against this criminal and that she is put away for a long time. Additionally, I hope that she receives some high quality psychiatric care. As for the victim, I earnestly hope that he has the option of living a semi-normal life after this. I can't imagine the mental trauma he is going through not only because of what happened but because he is still, in fact, married to the woman who tortured him. | ||

And let me reiterate: These women are NOT feminists. These are a few rich spoiled media queens who run a trashy daytime talk show. Attacking feminism as a movement because of a few crazies would be like me deciding to hate all Christians because I saw the WBC protesting at a funeral. Oh do you really think people complaining in this thread are against feminism as a whole? I seriously doubt that. The point is most people in this thread complaining are totally in favor of emancipation. And this is the feminism you are talking about right? Because I don't think you are in favor of everything beyond that. The point is that if emancipation is not addressed on all levels, and even those that benefit women, it will never be fully achieved. It is also not only because some crazy women said or did something, but because how it is okay. How it displays a drawback in the society and the state of emancipation. This is not the first case and won't be the last. For me, it definitely is not about this case in particular. | ||
