Personally, I don’t want strippers at my bachelor party. Never been big on them.

Taking that into account, your brother might not want them either.

Does he go to strip clubs often? Has he ever mentioned having them at his bachelor party? If he doesn’t want them there then it may make him feel uncomfortable if you bring one. People can say whatever they want but some people just don’t like them, or the idea of having them at the party. You could ruin the night or make it really awkward for a moment if he does not want anything to do with a stripper. I would ask him lest you do something he does not want.

If he often entertains himself with strippers and whatnot at the strip club, then it will probably be fine by him.. I would still ask him to avoid doing something that makes him uncomfortable.

It's your brother, you need to know whether that's something he'd enjoy that would fit in with the weekend. I've been to multiple bachelor parties, both with and without strippers and all I can really tell you is that it's all about your brother. Some guys seriously just don't enjoy strippers (don't give me any "all guys secretly love strippers" bullshit here, some guys seriously don't enjoy them) and it's really just about making sure your brother has a good time. And hell, if it's iffy, just flat out ask him ahead of time. Better to deal with that question before a stripper shows up :p.

I've seen marriages ruined because the wife found out about a stripper being at a bachelor party, and she will find out. Starting out in a marriage like that probably isn't the best thing imo.

Seriously sounds like some people have a real fucked up view on marriage or are with some insanely controlling women. All this "it's destroy the marriage before it even starts" seriously if your woman is that crazy and uptight maybe it's for the best that you ruin it instead of coming to the realization of her 10 years later when she leaves you and takes half plus the kids.

I would be interested if everybody who said that strippers are "natural", "necessary" or even "obligatory" for Bachelor/ette parties bases that on their own experience. I have been to (only) four bachelor parties and there never were any strippers. And if there had been any I think it would just have been awkward.

OT: Sure its "okay." It depends on the crowd - on the bachelor in particular.

I think you have a great party planned. Add in lots of meat for a great barbecue and some more entertainment options for downtimes and you are good to go. Maybe you could rent a boat or something - since you are at a lake?!

Has your brother ever mentioned that he doesn't want strippers/has anyhing against them etc? If not, then obviously you should get one (or more). Most probably he knows that's normal for bachelor parties, and had he not agreed, he would have said that.

Without the stripper, it's not a bachelor party. It's some guys hanging out and drinking. Without chicks. Therefor, the stripper is not for the guy getting married - she's there to make sure the night will not be dull. Anyways, if the future wife has a problem with it, she wants her husband on a leash AND does not trust him, does not believe he loves her enough, and so on - and therefor you'd be doing him a favor. Oh, and a single stripper is so 1990s. 3+ strippers FTW.

Why would a band sound cheesy. People hire bands all the time for private parties and weddings. They pay well too, from a band member point of view.

I think the question is really if your brother would enjoy it. I would not enjoy it personally, it is frustrating and I would feel bad for my fiance even if she does not know.

I've never been to a bachelor party without a stripper, and in all cases the wife already knows about it. That's what happens at bachelor parties, so what? Why would the wife care? A lot of guys I know are married and still allowed to go to strip clubs.

It's not a big deal to have a stripper at a bachelor party, it's like having a birthday cake at a birthday party. Some people don't like cake. Most do.

How is this even a debate? If he will like it GET IT if he doesn't DONT GET IT. Its a bachelor party women will understand and if shes that uptight that she doesnt want it he probably wont want to get it so DONT GET IT. Plain and simple.
