Sometimes I feel like the entire world is incompetent. Nearly any time I try to do something, people fuck it up one way or the other. Even basic things like doing their own job properly seems to be too complex a task for most people. I've had to call my old dermatologist on 3 separate occasions to transfer my files to my newest one. Every fucking time they said okay, and every fucking time I go back to my dermatologist and he asks me why I haven't given him my old files yet.

My drivers license had the same issue. I transferred it over from one province to another, and now the province I'm currently in is telling me I didn't transfer it, and that my last license was apparently revoked the day I got it. Putting aside the fact that this would mean the current license I have would be invalid (and would have been impossible to get), and that I would have been driving with an invalid license for months, and basically all the other obvious stuff that points to it being an idiotic mistake, they made me validate everything myself. It was apparently far too much effort for them to contact the licensing place in another province themselves.

I called the other place and they confirmed my current province is being retarded, and apparently sent off the documents to fix the error. I still need to check to see if it worked (and I'm banking on someone fucked something else up and it didn't).

I tried to volunteer at some local charity places in my city. That was a month ago. One ignored me completely, and the other sent a very quick message to tell me I fucked up, followed by a second message telling me I actually didn't fuck up, and that they'd get in contact with me shortly. That was the last I heard from them. Jesus fucking christ. How incompetent do these places have to be to not even reply to an email?

Recently I went to get a loan at the bank. With no job, and being a younger male, I figured this would put me in the "really high risk" section, resulting in them charging the highest interest. I went there to make sure, and was told I couldn't get a loan without a cosigner or source of income. Fair enough, but what confused me was when the guy said the interest rate would be between 8 and 10%. I'm no expert on the matter, but I was naturally quite skeptical given the max is 15%. After a bit of back and forth, I convinced the guy to do a "what if" situation, and fill out the paperwork to figure out what the interest would be.

Unsurprisingly, it came up to around 14.5% (funny enough, the guy was surprised by this). What was surprising, was that apparently even if I did get a job or cosigner, according to the person working there, the interest rate would not change. This is with me having a decent credit score as well.

I'm getting a car now. Can't way for everyone to fuck me over with that. I've been told I can get insurance for $80 a month, and other quotes put me in more around the $200 range, so I can't wait to see how that goes. I'm buying a car from a friend of my mother, who originally said the car was in great shape and that I could take it as soon as paying for it. As soon as she was told I have the money, she then informed me it needs to get all this testing done, and that the breaks might have problems.

The worst part about all this? It's what I expect. It's the norm. There's nothing more depressing than thinking up what you would hate to go wrong, and consistently having it occur. I'm not even sure if I'm a pessimist or a realist at this point, because I tend to think things will go quite wrong, and they usually do.

I hope last year was just a bad year. I've got a new job starting (at least on a trial run), a car incoming, and things seem to mostly be going in a good direction.

Can't wait to see how everything gets fucked up.

So I met this protoss called Loko on ladder. he said he had to pause for like 5 minutes, said i was free to unpause. I called him a gentleman and went to get drink

Game continues as normal, he opens phoenix and I react with 2 spore at each base, and prepare for a 10:30-11min hydra ling bust to break the 3rd and see whats up, however he keeps building phoenix never taking a 3rd. My bullshit sensor goes off so i go into roach hydra to defend any 2 base aggression, however i max out without him doing anything. So I go try to make something happen, cus roach hydra is fucking garbage in most situations except for surviving aggression. I see mass phoenix, immortals and whatnot, so i try my best to make something happen, poke at different fronts and even snipe some tech, however hes protoss and doesnt want to die so i cant kill him. Yadda yadda, tech to hive, have spire ready and a 4th saturated, 1-1 on my army. It is now the 18min mark and i know i have lost. Still maxed on roach hydra against phoenix, chargelot, immortal archon. pathogen glands upgraded and suicided some roaches for infestors. have a greater spire but no time to make broods. his maxed 2 base army then moves out and kills my roach hydra infestor without sweat, then he does it again to the remax. I just sit there trying to type out some BM or some one liner about protoss, but before I get to say it and leave the game, he tells me that the game was so retarded and bullshitty he wants to give me the win.

I dont even know how to feel about this, both of us deserved the win so fucking little he actually just gave me the win. Playing protoss must actually take it's toll on some people's conscience eventually i guess?

Gaming fanboys piss the hell out of me. Whether it's retards claiming one console is better than another, or this game franchise trumps this other game franchise. I honestly can't believe people like this exist. How were they even raised? Anyways the reason for this outburst is seeing a bunch of retarded posts after the Fallout 4 reveal. Already kids saying things like "F4 is going to shit on W3", or shit like "W3 sucks compared to this!" Look, I'm cool with you liking fallout more than Witcher, they are really different games, but to say these things based on a fucking reveal trailer and short gameplay video? How the hell can any game close to the quality of W3 even come close to sucking compared to another game?

I now covered 16 days for people. I enjoy working in the restaurant, but 50-60 hour a week is starting to take its toll on me and I can only have so much overtime thrown at me before I lose it. I am sick of canceling meetup with my friends and I just had to cancel my birthday dinner and all of my plans because someone decided to call in sick AGAIN. If my vacation is not approved or they call me in while I am away, I am fucking done.
And the waiting staff of the restaurant is even worse. Too many of them are demanding that they get all these days off all the time and want to keep their job, and some of them have the nerve to complain about all the work they are doing when they cannot even do simple shit like host, attend customers, or bus and we sushi chefs have to jump on the floor to do it for them. And then there is the corporate staff that is cutting everyone's hours because 7 of the 10 locations they have are failing so we have to help sustain them. They complain about me getting overtime when they refuse to hire another person, they make me open by myself when three people should open, abuse the head chef like hell, boss us around as if our jobs are simple, and things have gotten so bad that I am even coming in early in the morning and working for free to make sure things don't fall into chaos because it is our fault if we do not have enough time to prep. I see nothing but potential sashimi whenever I see those fucks enter the restaurant.

Just as a pointer I suggest instead of just saying fuck it if they keep pushing, just push back. Don't answer your phone if they call, say no if you accidentally do, call in whenever you feel like it, etc... Either way whoever the next most reliable person is will be getting shit on, but at least you got a shot at unemployment while your looking for a new job on your new days off.

They'll likely still need you till they find a replacement so you'll be able to work hours when you want, and work as hard as you choose.

Having a good reference is preferable but if you don't need it or are just going to tell them to f off anyway, might as well keep the door open.

Stop answering your phone when they call on your days off/after your shifts. I'm 100% serious. They're taking advantage of you. I had that happen to me at my old job and it only got worse until I put my foot down and stopped answering and refused to come in to cover for other people. Until you start saying no, it's only going to get worse. Let things fall apart. If the illusion things are going well continues, nothing will change. They have to see that what they are doing is not working. If 7 of 10 locations are failing then it's likely something much more fundamental that is wrong with the business, and likely nothing any of the actual customer-facing staff can control. Sadly, it seems that those up the corporate ladder often blame those below them rather than take responsibility.

That's one thing my current job has taught me: there is a lot of power in saying "no".

But seriously, I hope your situation gets better. I've had to deal with out of touch management like that before and it is incredibly frustrating. Heck, we're having to deal with that right now at my current job and my boss is just about at wit's end with how ridiculous some of the things upper management wants us to do are. They treat us as if we don't know what we're doing when we're one of the top performing places in the district and most of the time when they come in and "walk"/"inspect" us working, most of the stuff they tell us we either are already doing (because it's common sense, but the higher ups think they're geniuses for thinking of it) or are so wrong that we just ignore it the second they leave.

So I just lost to your standard bad player protoss turtle 2 stargate void into mass sky toss as zerg. It's so frustrating because i couldn't be aggressive anywhere (got stuffed by cannons and his voids every time I tried) and once he was 200/200 I felt hopeless. I did my best but mismanaged my infestors and got steamrolled in the last fight.

In the end I was always up a base, was supply capped for a much shorter time, spent my resources better, and he only had 95 apm lol... (I know, I know APM != skill at all but it still adds to my frustration when I play much faster than someone and lose idk).

I like ZvPs that aren't like this so I don't want to just all in every game before he can get a decent number of voids up, but at the same time I want to tear my hair out whenever I get into this situation. At least for a few ZvPs now I'm just gonna 10 pool idgaf.
